Subject: FK question

For awhile now I have been posting many stories on my series with zero
feedback, is anyone reading; I want ALL comments, good, bad and the
ugly. Or are the stories being ignored for some reason, I truly want to
know.

What's the URLs? Now that I'm finally getting some time off, I can
read the stories.

Subject: St Peter and the Vatican Exhibit....

Hi All,
last weekend I had the opportunity to go to the "St Peter and the Vatican
Exhibit" at the
Milwaukee Public Museum. It was amazing... 325 Vatican artifacts spanning
from the
time of Christ all the way to pieces used by Pope John Paul II. The show
was supposed to end on May 7th but is being held over to the end of May. One
of the things that is cool
is that they give world history references to everything so you can relate
it to events you
know... especially helpful for non Catholics. I recommend this exhibit to
anybody who can get to it.

To bring this post on topic... this exhibit basically spans LaCroix's entire
life. So looking at this you can see how the world of religion and art have
changed for him from his early life
as a mortal all the way thru to present day. One of the items that my sister
and I found particularly amusing was an ornate hammer that would have dated
back to Nick's mortal days. The purpose for the hammer was to bang on the
head of a dead Pope to make sure
he was really dead. It was also used to smash his signet ring. I can't
help thinking that this
could be used in some way in fan fic. Undead Nick is sleeping and somebody
thinks he is
dead and out comes the hammer...knock, knock, knock "Are you dead?". OK, it
is irreverent but it could be funny.

Just a reminder: please, when posting to Forkni-l, let's make sure the subject
line is specific. For example, rather than something like FK senses, a subject
"How far can Nick hear?"

Thanks, and I hope this is clear. I'm getting over a very bad cold and am
nursing a dog who almost got herself killed through escaping from the house and
running in front of a speeding car, so I may be a little incoherent.

Subject: Grand Opening

Anyone in the Pepperell, MA area, there's a grand opening of my friends
store; Inspire & Design; she's an Interior Decorater, mainly kitchens.
I will be there promoting my books and signing cards, mainly her
business. Come by for food, drinks and fun; also raffles to win prizes.

Apparently this is the exhibit's last North American stop. (It's been touring
the U.S. for several years.)

I had to laugh...
the US post office is thinking about offering... <queue the music>
"Forever Stamps".

Here's the article

It actually does seem like a good idea. I'd probably do it.

Ok back to work..
