Hi All,
One of the oddball things I do in my spare time is make novelty doll clothes
for American Girl dolls. I have been tossing around an idea in my head to make
doll replicas of some of the FK costumes to donate to the next KTK auction.
The thing is I don't know if there would be any interest in an item of that
sort.
If you like the idea and would consider bidding on an item like that please
email me OFF LIST. _LDukie913@a......._ (mailto:LDukie913@a.......) . If at
least 5 people tell me they would be interested I will make something for the
auction. If I do make FK doll clothes the will only be available in the auction,

Thanks.
Lori

Subject: Re: Visiting Toronto....

I am planning to finally visit Toronto for the very first time this June. I
bookmarked some useful fk touring sites, but I would love to hear from those
who have visited. Do you have any tips for me? What is the best way to get
around the city and does Marg still offer FK tours? Any hotel recs?

I have gone to Toronto three times. Twice for Toronto Trek and once for RCW
(a Due South convention). For the TTs I stayed at the Regal Constellation.
At that time it was kind of seedy...basically an elegant hotel that had gone
down hill. Unless the place has been remodeled I would not recommend it.
For RCW I stayed at the Radisson near the corner of Bloor and Younge. That
hotel was very nice and very well situated. The hotel is in walking
distance of the ROM and other areas of interest. There is a stop very close
by for these tour bus things that look like trolleys. You buy a ticket for a
set price and can hop on and off the bus all day. It goes to most of the best
places to see in Toronto. In the underground mall under the hotel they have
a car rental place where you can get a car for trips to the zoo and FK filming
sites not on tour bus route. They also have a post office so if you do what
I did and buy something too big to take in your luggage you can just ship it
home. Toronto also has excellent mass transit but I was not brave enough to
do that as I was traveling alone.
One word of advise, if you rent a car make sure you have a place to park it.
Parking in downtown Toronto is REALLY expensive. If you are a AAA member or
know one get their guide for Ontario... it will tell you everything you ever
wanted to know about hotels, restaurants and tourist attractions. Oh, and
one other thing. If you do choose to drive in Toronto, a blinking green light
is the same as a left turn signal in the US. I did not know that
my first trip there and just sat thru the light... I got flipped the bird
big time. Have a great trip!!!
