It was a silver wolf's head on the cane, LaCroix had plenty to say on that
subject.

Isn't the real question how fast can a vampire fly? If I remember correctly
In the episode Forward into the Past Nick went to Hamilton in search
of Catherine. Hamilton is roughly an hour away from Toronto by car
going 60 miles an hour. So how long did it take Nick to get there? My
impression was minutes.

Judging from the series FK vampires can move faster than the eye can see,
when they want to.

Subject: FK Moment

I had to stop and pick up dinner for my kids, and the total was $12.28. The
clerk seemed a little unsure about my silly grin but when I got home and I was
still grinning ridiculously, my fifteen year old asked, "what's so funny?" to
which I answered, "guess how much the total was when I bought your dinner?"
Rolling their eyes, both of my girls said in unison, "$12.28!" Then my youngest said,
"Mom... you <really> need to get a life."
::bewildered look:: Who, me?  ;-)

That I remember, I'm surprised when they did that and if they did go
further, wouldn't his vampire side automatically kick in and stop them cold?
Just a thought. I've lived on vampires for 40 years.

Yes, but vampires are a myth with MANY variations so if the writers of
Forever Knight wanted them to "go further" then they did and there'd be nothing
'wrong' vampire myth-wise with them having done so.

The great thing is that since it wasn't point-blank told, we fans can pretty
much interpret it as we wish, although I'd tend to go with what "the powers
that be" say about it (unless it serves a bit of fan fic to do otherwise <g>)

Actually, it was a panther's head, not a wolf's head.

I'm pretty sure that they mentioned something about it in the interviews on the
Season 2 DVD for anyone who has them (or wants to check it out)
