I'm writing a story where Nick is under investigation by Internal
Affairs. I know they also called it IA on the show but I believe they
have a different name for that unit in Canada. Does anyone know?

Good, then I don't have to re-write the whole thing, lol. Thanks for
answering.

It is still internal affairs, but it is pronounced
	I-A-ehh?
		:-)

Sorry...I couldn't resist after listening to a Lisa Ryder
interview on an Andromeda DVD boxset.
Every once in a while... she dropped an ehh? into her
conversation.
Not quite as amusing as listening to Lucy Lawless speaking with
her native New Zealand accent... but
amusing given how accentless Ms. Ryder is in anything I've ever seen.
One of these days, someone is gonna do a scifi show where the
characters are from Canada as well as the actors portraying them.

I'd like to see that!

For pure Canadian accents, I watch Davinci's Inquest, now being shown
on WGN (the Superstation) in the States. There's absolutely no doubt
where this show takes place (Vancouver)!

In addition to the WGN airings.. the local WB station
in Cleveland/Akron also shows it. so look for it
locally if you dont get cable.

Naturally, the common people don't want war, but they can always be brought to
the bidding of the leaders. Tell them they are being attacked, and denounce
the pacifists for lack of patriotism and endangering the country. -- Herman

Rick is on General Hospital right now. Not sure for
how long. I guess he played this same part years ago.
(Rick played Nick in the original Pilot Nick Knight.)

You realize if they shot a show set in Canada, they'd do it in Alabama and the
locals would have a strange Bronx accent... (just kidding, but the thought made
me smile...)

Hollywood never seems to have shows set where they are supposed to...

I just had a flash of Janette with a soft southern drawl....
It sounded pretty good.
Different... but good.
If she was much younger and originally from New Orleans... you'd still
have some of that rich French undertone in her voice too.
Mmm. Yet another fan fiction that has a glimmer of something that won't
ever get written...

He played Noah Drake sometime around 1981. (Yes, I'm old enough to
remember....but I was still just a kid. :-)) Around the same time his
song, "Jessie's Girl" became a big hit. (For those of you who remember,
being a kid, I always thought he was secretly referring to the
character Nurse Jessie on the show).

He was only on a year or two.

18 months according to a recent interview I saw with him. He says more
people remember him for that little stint than anything else he's done.
"Hey, I've done other things!" he pleaded to the camera. Mind, I think *we*
know that.

And, yes, I'm old enough to remember the original, and not be just a kid.
