Subject: My FK Moment

Was checking some addresses on a big mailing, and found myself giggling away
at the discovery of Natland, near Kendall in Cumbria (England's Lake
District).
Quick Google search came up with possible name origin as either Nettle Grove
or Nati's Grove (bleach! Cute!)

So that's where the NatPack go on holiday, is it?

Either that, or it's where the General disposed of the body after 'Last
Knight'! <VECG>

Subject: PRAYER: Surgery Moved to MONDAY; But There is GOOD News :-)

Well, Good ALMOST Afternoon,

Hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving; my wonderful son brought me
leftovers I plan to eat today!!!

Due to a variety of factors I won't yammer on about <g> (mostly had to do
with some test results, but nothing life threatening, just accounts for the
pain and symptoms), my surgery got moved from 12/20 to this coming Monday,
11/28--GOSH!! Thank you for all prayers and well wishes, advice, etc. I think
I have missed some private thank yous this time; been awfully tired, so sorry.

As promised, there are several pieces of good news involved :-)

I have been able to meet the "requirements" for actively seeking employment
for *Unemployment* Insurance Benefits since the day I "left" my job completely
and utterly legally, with 3 bona fide telephone interviews last week and this.
I have several Recruiters on the Prowl for me for when I am ready to work
again; I don't have to tell anyone any lies in terms of the Government--can't
tell you what a load THAT is off of my conscience!

I do have to do my telephone interview with Unemployment from my hospital bed
on Tues., LOL; I have been assured by a highly experienced soul an Unemployment
"it is just a formality; you have no worries....;" so, as long as I am able
to put cohesive sentences together, and call in between the appointed times
(there is a note on my file already that I am calling them instead of vice
versa), that will take care of that.

There will be no battle between Unemployment and Disability, Unemployment
simply stops and Disability begins (the papers are already filed, WOOHOO--can
do it up to 9 days ahead of time; also very helpful info from this lady) from
DAY ONE that I am in the hospital, then continues (at a *significantly higher
rate* than Unemployment per week) until the Doc says I am able to work again.
Then, if I have not found a job again, I file a new Unemployment claim (this
claim will have run out, it is only good until December 31, as it is a
continuing claim).

I was calling this lady in the first place to TRY and reschedule my
"Interview;" well, that wasn't possible; I don't get that, how long could it
take <g>, but, whatever, I will just take all my paperwork with me, set an
alarm and call when I am supposed to call.

She said "do you have any other questions I can help you with? I sure did.....
Turns out one does not have to be employed OR actively seeking work at all
to claim Disability. It doesn't matter if one is getting Unemployment, it
just stops temporarily. She said "that is all utter hogwash." I said I was
just quoting the website. "Yeah, I know what it says on the website, but it's
WRONG." "As long as you have worked for an employer who withholds Calif. SDI
within the last 18 months, have not worked for a government or some other
employer who withholds their own type of Disability that is NOT Calif. SDI, you
can claim and collect Calif. Disability, and you do NOT have to be seeking
employment before, during or after Disability. That is only if you are
collecting Unemployment. As long as you fulfill that requirement while you are
on Unemployment, and do so AFTER, if you have to go back on Unemployment, you
are FINE."

Tell you what, I wanted to crawl into the phone and HUG her really hard. She
was the nicest person, and reassured me over and over again that I was going
to have no trouble. She told me how to fill out the form on line, to take it
to my Doc, get is done ahead of time, so there would be no delays, make sure I
sent in all my Unemployment paperwork in the meantime, make that call on
Tuesday, then I would collect everything I was due.

So, no lying or defrauding any Government officials involved. ::::::happy
dance::::

And, the buggering operation gets done sooner, so maybe I can be done with
these owies and recovered sooner, so I can be having the RIGHT JOB sooner :-)

Everything happens for a reason.

That is how I am choosing to look at it anyhow!!!

More than one Doc of mine as hypothesized I might get rid of my migraines
with this, I think I have said before--only more than one of them is saying it
by now. Wouldn't that be lovely?

Likely come Monday I will be "away from computer" for some time; dunno. Two
days in hospital; they are using my appy "bikini scar" so I don't have to have
a new one, LOL. That's kind of cool <wink>. Got a "pre-op" call with the OR
Nurse in about 10 minutes....

Thank you again, and I continue to F. R. O. G. (Fully Rely on God)
