<<Imagine my reaction when I came back in town after a lengthy absence and
got face to face with some pretty colorful... cows. Yeah, you can imagine
all I was thinking about right at that moment was Nick and his dietary
requirements and/or possible involvement as artist or sponsor.>>

At least with Nick's diet we are assured of a never ending supply of leather
goods..... <wecg>

Last weekend I went on the FK Tour, and below is the
link for the lofts that are being constructed from the
shooting site for the Loft. Looks like the water tower
is going Back on!

I got a bit of a shock when I sat down in a Toronto subway car this morning
and the first thing I saw was a poster that said "How To Survive a Vampire
Attack!"

Turned out it was an ad for a Halloween thing at Canada's Wonderland.

(The answers were 1) Holy water; 2) Challenge him to a game of poker; and 3)
Lost? Welcome to eternal life!)

The vampire in the pictures even looked a lot like Schanke doing his vampire
imitation in Stranger than Fiction.

The glass floors don't look very vampire friendly.

Shoot me, I'm trying to do a science project for my teaching class, it's on
ice and stuff. The only thing I can think of is "You're so cold." "I'm
dead."
What's the freezing point of a vampire?

Speaking of Schanke, I saw John Kapalos on 'Without a Trace' last night... I
haven't seen him in anything in ages (no not even that tribute they did to the
Brekfast Club *sniff*) and I have to say that 'Donut Don' has definately been
graced with that blessing men have to become more handsome as they age... LOL my
housemates didn't know what to make of me as I bounced up and down on the
armchair giggling.

I love 'ickle perks to the day like that... don't you?

I was reading the news on yahoo and there is an article about an unknown
illness in toronto. It said several residents of an elderly group home have
passed away overnight from an unknown repspiratory illness.
Not to make light of the deaths, but I thought - have they checked the necks
for "two neat little holes" as Nat would put it? What would Nick think if he
were assigned to the case.
Just a thought.

I just hope it isn't another SARS outbreak. This has caused Toronto too
much trouble already.

Subject: A new favorite Scene from "Close Call"

As I'm making my way through season 2 (its fun doing a marathon of watching
episodes in order from season 1 through 2...) I found a scene that has become my
favorite.

In "Close Call" when Schanke is digging through the information at the Raven
and looking at the picture of Nick, Janette and LaCroix -- Janette appears in the
shadows (you can see her outline only) and then her red eyes appear before she
walks out into the light of the room.

Way kewl special affects that for once showed two things -- she can be a
predator and she is grumpy (but still looks good) when woken up early...

I find myself going back to that scene and rewinding it back and forth... I
often wonder how many takes went into scenes like that.
