I would like to thank you all for your warm wishes and prayers for victims of
Hurricane Katrina. I was a student at the University of New Orleans until the
hurricane hit, and have only now had the chace to catch up on e-mail. I
evacuated before it made landfall, and stayed in Baton Rouge with friends for a few
days before deciding to drive to Colorado where my family is. So, I'm safe now,
and although I lost a lot of stuff, I managed to get out with my cat and most
of my clothes (and my FK DVDs!). Thanks for all the support and offers of aid,
and for the auction that will donate to those even less fortunate than I.

Cousin Parker

Answer to Greer's first question: School started,
that's what. And then I was busy moving. so that why I
at least haven't been around for, like, a month.

By saying Screed wouldn't come help in New Orleans?
Nah. Not mine, anyhow. Maybe he would, maybe he
wouldn't. The question you ought to be asking yourself
is, do you really *want* the Rat Pack there? We're
likely to cause as much harm as good, no matter how
well intentioned!

I wanted to take a few minutes to thank you all for your kind words of
condolence and good wishes. It's been about a month since Shana and her family
died, but I am not ready to tell the tale just yet. It's just too hard to think
about. I apologize for not answering your emails individually, but right now my
time is extremely limited. My youngest daughter is starting therapy tomorrow,
because she has been talking about suicide. Add to that the medical issues my
husband is coping with, and I have a full plate.
I again want to thank you all for your kind words and loving support. I
promise, as soon as I am able, I will give the details regarding Shana's passing.
God bless you all.
