I was checking out the news on playbill.com and there was an article
for a play (forget the name of it) and the first line of the teaser
thing was "Is Myra planning a funeral?"

I immediately thought of Schanke and Black Buddha. *sniff*

Has our beloved list succumbed at last? There have been pretty well no
posts for days, except for the usual weekly rules. I realize in the wake of
Hurricane Katrina it must seem hard to find something to say about a mere
television series -- but is Forever Knight as "mere" as all that to us? For
those who are too busy to write or (fingers crossed it's not so) displaced
by the catastrophe, that's one thing. (And can we help?) But for the rest
of us: surely, vampires are immortal?

So I'm not the only one? I began to think that the mails were simply not
coming through (it has happened to me before).

*MANY* of us are in areas to which the residents of the Gulf Coasts are now
living. Knowing how giving FK fans are, I'm sure there's many who are away from
their computers volunteering and raising money.

By the way, I noticed on the Greg Kramer Fan Klub list there is a woman named
Suhk (or Sukh) who lists her residence as New Orleans. Is she on this list?
Does anyone know her and her current situation?

I'm here, just swamped at work -- even LaCroix never came up with anything as
fiendish as the new release of the software for libraries which our consortium
is using, and I'm sysadmin for my library.

I must admit that I've envisioned Nick trying to organize a team of vampires to
go to New Orleans to do rescue work in places that are difficult to reach even
with a helicopter.

Also answering the role call... I think that its just at this time of the year
that everyone gets caught up with RL and with everything that has been
happening around the world too, we're just trying to deal with all that first
so we can get back to the enjoyable things without feeling guilty

So glad I'm not the only one who's considered the advantages of vampire
rescue efforts. I know I'm mostly a lurker around here, but I do read the
posts. I've noticed both here and with other online communities I'm involved
with that RL (both personal and global) seems to be taking the front seat
right now; and that makes sense.

I remember a Cousin Sukh, whom I met at the Aggie Con
Nigel attended with Pat Elrod all those years ago, but
I had thought she was a Texan. I could be wrong. Or
it could be a different woman.

If it is Cousin Sukh, I haven't seen her on the lists
in a long time.
