I saw a FK sticker on the back of a car today. It's one of those kind
of stickers that you seem to see everywhere these days the initials
are large and then the place that it represents is in smaller letters
underneath,. This one was for the Florida Keys.

My favorite, Nick's very old white shirt with bell sleeves and string
down the front. I love that style of shirt.

I love Janette's black hooded cape. It would never fit me but who cares.
This cape sold at Bridging. I hope the person who purchased it really
treasures
the cape.

I love any of Janette's dresses, especially her red velvet ones from season 2.

However, I am the very happy and proud owner of her season 1 black Gaultier
publicity dress. It's also the same dress Alma wore in FIHS. ;)

Okay, took a while for the coin to drop. But if it's the see-through
(K-)Nightie you're talking about, I agree that that would only be
something with the handsome chevalier still in it, lol.

Okay, I have to say it! Nat's dress that she wore to the Azure dinner with LC
in BMV. I would also settle for a set of black silk pj's complete with a
certain 13th century knight in them! LOL!

Actually, isn't it a medieval chemise? Not a nightshirt, just the sort of shirt
worn underneath tunics/whatever?

Yep, Nancy's right, because nightshirts weren't in use, yet.
Medieval people slept in the nude. (They did wear headcoverings to bed.)

That "nightie" is actually called a "chemise". Men and
women both wore them in the middle ages. If you read
my recent story "In the Beginning" you will see a
reference to the chemise laid out on the bed. :)

The history of the chemise
The chemise seems to have been developed from the
Roman tunica and first became popular in the European
Middle Ages. Women wore shifts or chemises underneath
their gowns or robes; men wore chemises with their
trousers or braies, and covered the chemises with
garments such as doublets, robes, etc. In those times,
it was usually the only piece of clothing that was
washed regularly.

Does anyone know why I cannot get to the site? I get a
Seattle Glass Replacement Window URL. (Now granted,
I'm IN Seattle but that shouldn't matter.) I've tried
the link directly and also from a Google search.
