Subject: FK Moment

With the dvds coming I must really have FK on the brain, 'cause even
I admit this is stretching it a bit, but....

On the way home today, I hit a little bit of traffic, so as I am
sitting there on the road I start looking around. The car ahead of
me in the next lane had a license plate with the first three letters
'GER' - but what really made it a FK moment was that he had one of
those license plate frames supporting a local high school football
team... the Blue Knights.
So there was the word Knight, right above the letters GER.
Well, I enjoyed the moment.

Thats not really too much of a stretch, just last week
I was stopped at a light and the Monster Truck in
front of me had vanity plates that said "GERS TOY" I
got a chuckle out of it.

We do have a town here that has GER as its licence plate abbreviation
(note for those that don't know
German licence plates always start with letters that signify the
city/county they're from, then have letters and numbers follow them.
So, you could get a plate that reads e.g. GER-WD-204
One of my colleagues actually has a GER plate, always makes me smile.

Subject: Fic Question

I'm writing a story at the moment and I need the spelling of the name of
the old woman who had the harp in QoH -
the one whose estate was auctioned off - listening to them say it in the
ep didn't get me anywhere.
Maybe someone has that script and could help me here.
Please write me off-list.

Thanks,

Doris

I've been tracking mine, and it says they were delivered to my local post
office this morning at 11:00 am. We haven't had mail delivery since last Thursday,
due to heavy snow, so I'm HOPING that they deliver tomorrow and I'll get them!
My hubby has been waiting for a video game for over a week now, so he's wants
the mail to come, too.

Mine haven't shipped yet but Amazon tells me they expect their supply shortly
(or maybe more, they didn't specify) and then they'll be on their way.

It still is just amazing this day has come. Of course I'm eagerly
anticipating the release of Season 3 so I can pause screen and throw spitballs
at Screed.<

My dvds arrived today. I was surprised since I didn't pay for express
shipping. I've only watched the first ep and listened to the commentary, but I am very
pleased with them. I should be enjoying the next few evenings immensely!

Take care.

I have good news about the friends who spent Christmas in India. According
to an email Mom got, Marsha was in church on Sunday. No word on John (no
jokes, please), but if she's alive, he must be too! Yippee!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

And on the feline front, the boys have decided she's healthy enough to
chase. I *think* that's a good sign. <G>

Thanks, everyone, for their prayers, good thoughts and everything else.

Hey y'all!

Ok, I'm looking for strange and marvelous crossovers.
<G> First of all, I remember reading a FK/CSI
crossover sometime last year. Anybody remember who
wrote it and where I can find it?

And are there any FK crossovers with JAG?

Thanks, y'all!

Subject: Prayer Request

I know it's off topic but... A few people here know that I have a
grandmother with breast cancer. She had a masectomy a month ago and has had
more test since and we just got news today that the cancer has traveled to
her lymph nodes and has become very aggressive. As of now the doctors are
not sure if she will be able to have chemo because her heart may not be able
to handle it and she has to see a cardiologist tomorrow to find out if her
heart will handle it. The doctor wants my grandparents and their children
and spouses to come in on Thursday to discuss how bad it is. If you can keep
her in your prayers it would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Sarah

I'm a completist (sp?). The sad thing is I hate seeing the word "trilogy" on
a box and there not being all three parts to it. I'm really looking forward
to season 3 for that reason and most of all since those were my favorite
episodes (I'm with the "who's the blonde talking to Vachon" minded group).

I just checked and mine are 'out for delivery'. So there is a UPS
truck driving around with them stashed in back. Woo hoo!!!!
I can already tell... today is going to be a VERY long day at work.
Maybe I should call out sick and meet the UPS guy at the door with a
plate of ccokies. :)

I've seen this plate on the freeway a couple of times, so he must travel
between our areas!

Mine isn't due until then, either. And Amazon keeps their stuff at a
UPS hub right here in Louisville, Kentucky where I live.

last hour and a half are going to go so slowly!!!! Then there's probably going
to be tons of traffic.... all to keep me away from my FK!!!

Ah, so NOW we see what happens to those who dare quit the employ
of the mega-super-duper "Amazon" internet giant! Don't you just
wanna go over there and beat on their warehouse door? Sheesh!

{I'm kidding, of course, that's where I ordered mine. Still . . . why
else
would it take longer to ship them across town than cross-country?}
