I had an FK moment today as I started reading a court opinion that's listed
under "Mental Disturbance and Resulting Injury" with a defendant named,
what else, LaCroix.

Here's a list of some of the fics I think are outstanding. These are
just a few of the many I've archived, and I've omitted dozens of
worthy fics---but you've got to start somewhere, I guess:

--Apache: The New Life
--Apache: Famous Javiers for 400, Please, Alex
--Tippi Blevens: Eternal Champion
--Ceilidh: A Woman Thing
--Mary Combs: De'Tour
--Dianne DeSha: Benighted Walks
--Nyx Fixx: Pfffft!
--Susan Garrett: False Heart
--Susan Garrett: Kind Soul
--Les GrantSmith: Child Killer
--Les GrantSmith: Something the Boy Said
--Cindy Ingram: Turning Point
--Christine Kamnikar: My Evil Twin is a Vampire
--The Lurkers: The Adventures of Tracy, Warrior Tart
--Ophelia Paradise: Taking Care
--ME Orive: Blue
--Jamie Randall: What's an Arcsecond?
--Diane Trap: LeCroix Takes the Wheel
--Karen Welss: Say Goodbye to the Light
--Kathy Whelton: A Crack in the Wall

lol, I have to agree with Nancy's recomendations-- many of those are
extrodinarily silly fics that have become an integral part of our fandom (not
to mention endless in-jokes). For reading on the (mostly) more dramatic side,
Amy R. has a 'fic of the month' part of her site,
http://users.lmi.net/akr/fk/recommen/, that includes most of the fics I,
personally, consider to be the 'best of the best'. And since it's midnight, I'm
going to leave it at that, except to say that anyone who hadsn't read "The Battle
of Hastings" by Celeste Hotaling-Lyons is MAJORLY missing out!!!

Howdy everyone,

I'm running off to bed but I wanted to say that I just came back from
Stratford. Ger's one-man play was fantastic, and afterwards, our group went
to the post-performance gala and met tons of our fellow fans and
listmembers, plus we got to see Ger, Nigel, and Scott Wentworth ("Kermit"
from Kung Fu: The Legend Continues).

A great time was had by all.

Cheers,
Cousin Will

Sorry these are late. I have a problem with one knee (it was already weak
before I ran it into a steel book cart at work), and it was bothering me enough to
keep me lying down most of Sunday.
Lisa, much better now

This isn't using war: because I want to make sure everybody sees it. Please use
war: at the beginning of the subject line if you're discussing the upcoming war
on Forkni-l. The colon is vital because it tells the listserv that the
preceeding word is a topic.

Thanks!

I was reading yahoo news and found this article about tv shows on dvd
and the marketing etc. I think it bodes a positive outlook for FK.

I saw this same article. I can't believe that Sony didn't make (enough) money
on Season 1 of FK. DVDs are soooooooo cheap to produce these days. They need
to promote it more for increased sales, beyond a few obligatory spots on Sci-Fi
Channel.
