Nigel Bennett's and Pat Elrod's latest book due out in October, 'Siege
Perilous,' is fantastic! One of those "just block out a day and start reading
because you won't be able to put it down easily" reads, and I don't say that
lightly. (Of course for 1/2 the day you'll just want to stare at the wonderful
cover art by Jamie Murray.)
Charon the Assassin is back, and in true "villian that you just have to boo"
form, is up to no good. (Insert diabolical, maniacal laugh - BWAHAHAHA) He's
not feeling so hot, is certainly not happy, and is going to make sure that
former-Lancelot-turned-vampire Richard Dun is even more unhappy. Richard with
his mortal and not-so-mortal friends find themselves in a battle that takes them
from this world into the otherworld. There's plenty of sword play (yep, of
both kinds) as well as use of modern technology. Talk about a fast flowing,
nail biting, I'm not going to bed until I'm done page turner!
I'm still trying to decide if my favorite parts of the book were Sharon's
very vividly written adventures or the flashbacks to Richard's past.
Ooooo, I only hope there's more to come! Meanwhile, look for 'Siege
Perilous' coming soon to a bookstore or on-line site near you. It's only in
hardback at the moment, with a cover price of $22 US, $32 CAN (and this is one book
that's worth it - Cousins are sure to drool when they see the cover and that
would get a paperback terribly yucky).

I prefer the earlier dates, the later get too close to Thanksgiving (when
I traditionally have a since time locked in my room avoiding my relatives
;-)
hugs!

why the bunnies are all headless, and whether you take sugar or

I probably will not get a chance to check my email after 4:40 CST today and I
will be away from computers until the morning of Oct. 12th. Don is going to be
away for the first few days so there will be a short while during which there
isn't any technical help available. I'm sorry, but sometimes RL does that.

<< PARTY!!!!!!!>
Perks, get some coffee going. Easy on the sugar please.
Knighties, get some Bach or Mozart playing.
FODs, its a bad pun, but bring the food.
Nunkies, put the man with the buzzcut down and stop whispering all
the darn time.
Everyone grab the nearest Ratsie and keep them away from the good
silverware drawers.
Let's party like it is 1299....
Happy weekend everyone
:-)
