I got this catalog with all kinds of 'magical' things.
The item that caught my attention was the Celtic Lap Harp.
The description says:
"Known to the west since the 10th Century, the harp was adopted most
widly by bards and troubadours of medieval Eire (Ireland) and Cymru
(Wales). We're proud to present this handsome example, crafted of
handcarved rosewood adn mahogany in the traditional 19-string
'lap-top' configuration of the Celtic harp. The frame is inlaid in
an endless-know motif....."

I immediately thought of Queen of Harps. It comes with a book "Basic
Harp for Beginners" I got so excited until I saw that it is $349
plus shipping. Oh, well.

The catalog has lots of cool stuff. IT is called "The Pyramid
Collection."

Subject: Re: Favorite top 10 episodes of the series

I love bits and pieces from a lot of different
episodes. And, I couldn't narrow it down to only 10
episodes, so I picked some and ended up with 7 groups,
as follows:

7. For I Have Sinned
7. 1966
7. Blackwing
7. Dead of Night

6. Be My Valentine
6. Dying for Fame
6. Unreality TV

5. Dark Knight I & II
5. Hunted (2nd Season)
5. Killer Instinct

4. Fever
4. Stranger than Fiction
4. Close Call

3. Sons of Belial
3. Near Death
3. Partners of the Month

2. Games Vampires Play
2. Night in Question

And my top absolute favorites:

1. Queen of Harps
1. The Fix
1. Feeding the Beast

As you can see, I spread it out over all 3 seasons.

Now, I would like to find out what everyone's least
favorite episodes are?

The absolute worst (IMO) is:

Avenging Angel

Knight Ranger

I think it is called "Cherry Blossom" ...

I just find it rather boring and can't explain why. I probably need to sit
down and re-watch it as I might feel differently now.

Let me think.... it would probably be one I don't watch very
often... I have to consult an ep list...
Ummm.
I agree with Avenging Angel.

How about ...
Trophy Girl
Let No Man Tear Asunder
If Looks Could Kill
Blind Faith

Guess that shows how I feel about the third season... mostly blah,
with a few bright spots.

I think "Amateur Night" is the worst episode. The whole deal with the
actress bores me plus Nick is barely in it. "The Code" is also a yawner, but
seeing Nick as a cowboy in the flashbacks is amusing.

Here are my top 10 "Least" favorite episodes:

1. Amateur Night
2. The Code
3. Strings
4. Jane Doe
5. Avenging Angel
6. Spin Doctor
7. Faithful Followers
8. Beyond the Law
9. Dead Air
10. My Boyfriend is Vampire

What's rather strange, is I actually like the episode. I recognize it for
what it is, yet...

It may be because that is the episode where we are introduced to the concept
of carouche vampires, and that there's a hierarchy when them at the bottom.

I love Cherry Blossoms only because of the incredible N/J moments (both in
present and flashbacks). I also think it's an important episode that shows
just how important they are to one another - Janette coming to Nick's rescue
and those looks of terror on her face at the thought of losing him. The last
steamy scene is also priceless with Nat walking in...I *really* wish she
hadn't interrupted too, but it was pretty funny that she did. What a way to
meet... ;)

"Jane Doe"

and I agree with "Trophy Girl"

Hi-
I have to jump in this discussion here and agree with several others on
Avenging Angel as my least fav ep. I remember the first time I saw it that it had
been taped for me by someone else and I kept watching the ending wondering if
somehow something got missed. I mean, it just kinda leaves it hanging. Also
some of my least favorite of Fred Mollin's music on the soundtrack comes from
that ep. Just my opinion of course.

Usually my least favorite eps come
from season 1 and that's mostly because
they look cheap (the cheesy flight scenes,
the green light on the eyes, bad costuming)
but from the story angle I like those least:

1) The Fire Inside
2) Dead Air
3) Fallen Idol minus the flashbacks (is there anyone
   who likes wrestling? really?)
4) Jane Doe

I can deal with a LOT of illogical plotting etc in
FK as long as the ep works as a whole. I mean,
the premise of the whole show is not that grounded
in real life either - *G*
I never really cared for the cop aspect of the show and
love it because of the flashbacks. Most of the least fav eps
that have been mentioned so far I like because of the flashbacks.

I always liked Blind Faith very much. I thought it was quite unique and
original.

I find it interesting that so many "real" fans of the show hate it so much when
many friends that I have who only saw episodes that I made them watch liked
that one best of all. My husband who was not a big fan of the show but did
appreciate it anyway always liked that ep and uses it as an example of how good and
unusual the show actually was when it comes up in converstation with people who
have never seen FK.

Personally I hated "Ashes to Ashes". It was when everything just got
completely depressing and had a hopeless feeling and I started thinking that the entire
cast could benefit from a prescription for anti-depressants ;)

Ren

altho the plotlines make even the top ten least fav FK

Blind Faith comes to mind as my least favorite, with

Subject: Best and Least Fav Eps

After some deliberation...

My top 10 favourites (or at least, the ones that spring to mind in no
particular order) are:

Dark Knight 1 & 2 (I'm counting this as one ;) )
For I Have Sinned
Partners of the Month
The Fix
Close Call
Near Death
A More Permanent Hell
Hunted (S2)
Sons of Belial
Night in Question

Season 2 is definitely my favourite, but does contain one I find completely
unwatchable because of the accent-mangling by one or two guest cast-members:
Queen of Hearts (and I now know lots of you love this one). Season 1 had some
embarrassing cheesiness, and Season 3 had wanton TPTB vandalism...and they're
still streets ahead of 95% of what is shown on TV at the moment.

I wish Schanke had been in Season 3, even with a smaller role as Captain, as I
would have been interested in the changed dynamic between him and Nick no
longer being equal (discuss!) partners.

I consider myself a 'real' fan, and I like "Blind
Faith". I mean, its not one of my favorites, and its
not near the bottom. Its just in the middle of the
pack.

I always had a problem with Perry bringing Jody
across. I mean, did she drink his blood in return?
Or, like other character (ex: Alyse Hunter, Bridget
Hellman) did she just turn without sharing blood.

Then again, as someone already pointed out, FK was
never big on continuity.

Do we really know for sure that Alyce didn't receive blood from Nick? I
mean, the last thing I remember to that scene is Nick was holding her and
looking sad and then they cut to the scene in the museum.

Or am I forgetting something important? Methinks it's time to break out the

and 3 had some good ones too.

No particular order:

Dark Knight 1 & 2
A More Permanent Hell
Be My Valentine
Night in Question
Unreality TV
Only the Lonely
Curiouser and Curiouser
Stranger than Fiction
Fever
If Looks Could Kill

Least Favorites... don't really have many, but there's a couple I don't care
for.

Again, no particular order:

Hunted
Sons of Belial
Last Knight (it didn't happen, I tell ya!)
I Will Repay (not a least favorite, but it just didn't sit well with me for
some reason)

You got the refusal part right and LaCroix drinking from her right, but at
the very end, don't we see her as a vampire? Isn't that where Nick is
looking up at the window and sees her there? So if you go by the idea that
she had to receive some vampire blood, then whose was it?

But of course, like someone said earlier, since when does continuity ever
play a big part in the series?? LOL
