First, I just want to thank all of you for the warm welcome! I feel at home
already.

Next, I like the idea of Lacroix representing Nick's inner battle with his
vampire, and I was just wondering why Alice in Wonderland is used? Is it
because Lacroix also represents innocence lost/corrupted? Just a thought.

Hey, you know, that might be a good idea, Jeannie,
heh. Since I'm pretty sure he's seen me stare at him,
(and since his cubicle is opposite my mom's I'm always
walking by anyway) poor guy. And actually we *are*
both single, lol. Wonder if he's ever seen FK...

I think that would be Nick's role. Interesting thought, just the same. I think
that's one of Nick's charms, is that we do see him as a corrupted innocent--and
one who knows darn well, all too late, exactly what happened to him.

OK, here's an idea. (Feel free to smack me if it's a particularly bad one; I'm
too tired right now to tell.) So there are a number of us who know/work with
people who are images of our favorite actors. Would pictures be too much to
ask? Sure, it would take some chuzpah on the part of those weilding the
cameras, but if some kind site-keeper would loan us space, it would make an
interesting project...

He might not know what you are talking about if you did tell him that.
(That's if he didn't watch the show before it was canceled.)

Dear all (especially Megan):
I've met a few people who've looked like an FK character/actor myself.
There's the Ger "lookalike" I told this list about not too long ago (see "FK
moment- Ger lookalike" 3/31/04), and more than a few Nigel/LaCroix look/act
alikes. To see if they are FK fans, without going straight out and asking, make
a few obvious references to FK, quoting if necessary. One that I *almost* used
while meeting up with another fan in a restaurant was the famed "Do you want
some fries with that ketchup?" Another thing that may work is to get into a
convo about your, or in this case, his, favorite soft drink, and say that yours
is a little known British one called Ribena (Rye-bean-a.) It'll especially
work if you are talking about history, just talk of the years 79 and 1228, and
throw in the whole "Age of Aquarius" ref just for good measure. See? easy huh?
Forgive the long e-mail, just really wanted to add this in.

You could debate that they're the same thing-- by trying to rid himself of the
vampire, he's essentially trying to negate LaCroix (from his life, at least),
thus, in effect, 'killing' him. In the dream/hallucination, it's backwards, his
getting rid of LaCroix in order to negate the vampire, and therefore the guilt
he feels.

Nick is trying the inner evil and LaCroix was the one who placed it there. I
feel he wants to kill the evil he sees not LaCroix himself. LaCroix's evil side
is like a mirror to Nick. Those two truly care for each other.

There could be legal problems with this too so I'd suggest anyone doing this
get a legal permission form drafted before taking the picture and posting it
to a website.
