Good point DLPH! Um, I'm a little perplexed why that he'd be delivering to
the social/cultural science wing at my college, *in the middle of the day*
though. Perhaps our curator (Dark Knight I and II) decided Toronto was too
cold?
Let's discuss this one.....

That's what I've been told. It should be at the printer now. For any newbies,
this has an unofficial FK parody. BWAHAHAHAH <wRPg> (unfortunately, I wasn't
able to fit Screed in)

I was told "in a few weeks" a few weeks ago. My guess would be next week or
the next (if it didn't come out yesterday - I don't have the money for a trip
to the comic book store this week so haven't looked)

I haven't received my contributor copy, which is suppose to be shipped
directly from the printer, so I'm just guessing it isn't out yet.

I did look and you can order directly from the publisher. The comic is $6.50
(I know that's high, but it is a very small publisher, and a very thick, high
quality black and white comic book) plus shipping.

If anyone who ordered this through their comic book store hears it is in, let
me know <g> Sometimes the creators are the last to hear.

By the way, as I've said before, this will probably be the last issue of
Atomic Mouse. However, the publisher as many other comics in the "furry fandom"
line, and there's a possibility of them moving me to one of those titles to at
least do backup stories on a regular basis. It would mean a great deal to me
that if you enjoy the storie in Atomic Mouse, you let the publisher know, and
not just on a "Forever Knight" level (I'm not even sure he's seen the show, he
just loved the story idea). The chances of me doing another FK parody are slim
since I've done one, but I know some of you have said you enjoy my non-FK
stories and this is a chance to see more....

Thanks so much in advance. Although I have an electronic publisher
(www.tandra.com), this is the first paper published story I've had in years.

However, we're talking about medieval times here. As Mary Combs noted,
acting and being a vampire wouldn't go together, primarily because
productions were performed outside during the day.

Also, the attitude that actors were beneath the nobility or anyone of
quality was common right through Victorian times (when all actresses
were assumed to be in essence prostitutes). I would think it would
take Nick a long time to get over his inborn sense of his place in the
world (even as a vampire) and "lower" himself to become a performer.

That would be very cool, but Nick getting to see one of Shakespeare's
plays first run would be problematic---once again, most performances
were during the day! (Although Nick's relationship with Shakespeare is
beautifully rendered in the last official FK novel, "Intimations of
Mortality"---he manages to catch the end of some plays, and see
special performances held at a noble's house.)

Mmmmmm... Having been involved with the SCA for scads of years, and having
best friends involved with commedia del arte and related period acting.. I
will disagree with the idea that actors were beneath.... I wish I could
remember the conversations about period acting, but I hadnt thought to
listen as carefully as I should have....I will strive to get some more
detailed history from them if people want.

I will agree it would have been impossible for Nick to have done acting as
it was all daytime fare. Nighttime would have beenimpossible to see and the
"theatres" were deathtraps enough without the risk of torchlight, their only
means of illumination.

I believe the story was written by Ophelia and it is called Till Death. Here
is the link.
