I'd be happy to make the wav, but I can't seem to find that line in DK1. I've
watched the entire scene on the DVD, but the only line that comes close is
"Get out of here."

First let me thank the list owners for permission to post this notice!
*<waves to McLisa and Nanci>*

Now, on to business.

I am currently in the process of packing some things away for storage and in
the process of doing so I came across all three seasons of Black Harbour that
I have on VHS that I used to dub for the Black Harbour Tape Tree a few years
back. I'd like to take this opportunity of offering these videos to the first
person to contact me off list. Due to copywrite I am offering these videos
for the cost of the tapes and shipping. ***See Description Below***

If interested please send e-mails off-list to: celtroyl@buckeye-express.com
with the subject header saying: Black Harbour Videos.

Each video is first generation recorded has two episode from each season from
CBC in Canada. The quality is excellent. Some of them may or may not have
commercials included. It's been so long since I've watched these I can't
remember.

I also have on hand other GWD television and movie videos that include:

Deadly Harvest: average quality
The Outer Limits - "Paradise": good quality
Major Crime: average quality
Dracula the Series - misc. episodes. How many? I have no idea - been a
while since watched. : average quality

I also have on hand the "SINGLET" that Ger wore in the Toronto play: The
Taming of the Shrew in early '96. The Singlet was auctioned off at the
Gerthering
2 in Thousand Oaks California and I was the winning bidder for $475.00. It
is signed: "Love and Remember Me. Geraint". If anyone is interested I will be
taking *private bids* for this item through Friday, January 16th, 2004. If
interested in the item please send e-mail to: celtroyl@buckeye-express.com and
put "SINGLET" in the subject header.

A few more items include 7 color 8x10 photos, one that is autographed @ $6.00
each plus postage. There are 4 head shots. One of the "Goofy Vamps" of Ger
and Nigel and one of Ger and John Kapelos.

4 black and white 8x10 photos, four that are qutographed @ $4.00 each plus
postage. All are head shots. If interested in these items please put "GWD
Photos" in the subject header.

Thanks in advace to all who are interested.

Cheers,

I guess that is one of the scenes that was cut from the DVD version of DK 1
I have a technical question regarding wav files ( I also have Ger-wavs for
my computer btw, but they're not my own).
How do you get the sound from the DVD or VCD onto your computer in wav or
mp3? I always wanted to do some wavs of my own but I couldn't figure out
how it works.

It depends on your equipment, and I'm sure there's a faster method out there,
but the way I would have done it is to capture the scene as an AVI (or as an
MPEG then convert to AVI). Finally, I would then encode using a program called
TMPGe which separates video from audio. Not ideal for really long captures,
since a 5 min capture would take maybe 15 mins to do.

Hi -
I am planning to go up to TO this summer for a vacation - is there anything
going on this summer like a con that alumni might be at or any kind of gathering
or something. I am just looking at possible dates and if there is something
going on I'll see if I can go then.
Please let me know off list. (debrabant_foundation@y......)

The only time I recall the reference to sunlight and the age of the vampire
being mentioned was in the episode I Will Repay. Nick says to Richard something
like, and I'm just paraphrasing, "In time, you will be able to tolerate it.
(the sunlight) "

Wasn't it something about "tolerate it better" or "more?" It didn't give me the
impression they could eventually go out into the sun safely. I don't think even
LaCroix can.

Yes I see your point. I mean Nick isn't trapped inside all day. He
was outside in a couple of eps - like in For I Have Sinned he was
outside the church in the early morning - it *was* pretty light out.
I have had several non-FK fans make comments about how can he be out
in the daylight. (Maybe it was a timing problem, that they were
running out of shooting time or something, but it was pretty light)
Also in the Rebecca episode, he meets Schanke at the station. Yeah,
he has a hat on and stuff, but he is outside. And also in the
episode with the hunter and the watches (can't remember if it is
Hunted or Hunters - they confuse me) He seems like he's ok as long
as he stays out of the direct sunlight - like when he comes out of
the sewers, he stays in the shadows. All this without really smoking
too much.
So, maybe with time they can become more tolerant of the sun, but not
totally immune.

I seem to recall something related in "The Fix", when Lacroix appears in
white in Nick's apartment, in daylight...
