Subject: beta reader(s) needed

I posted a message a few months ago asking for some beta readers for a story
that's around 166 pages in Word. I got 3 replies (but one person couldn't do
it) and the other 2 have had the story for 4 months now and at this point i'm
not convinced that either of them will have it finished by the deadline to post
the story to the Raven Awards. (no offense is intended to those two
individuals--i just need the story finished in time.) So i'm wondering if
anyone else
on the list is interested in beta'ing a story that is about Nick, Nick's two
450 year old vampie sons, ....and LaCroix and Natalie are main characters as
well. This story takes place 3 yrs after the 3rd season ended, but Cohen and
Schanke are alive and still have their jobs. The last ep of the show obviously
didn't happen :)

e-mail me privately at bluefaerymagick@a....... if you're interested.

Thanks!

When is the FK DVD due in stores? Is it this Tuesday?

I ask simply because I just received a notice that the copy I ordered on
line was shipped today!

Wow! I don't know if that means I'll get it on Tuesday, or if I might even
get it sooner. How cool!!!

FEEL FREE TO CROSS POST THIS NEWS!

Hello All!!!

We've got a new auction started on eBay!

Ger asked us to do some fund-raising for the Atlantic Theatre
Festival in Wolfville, Nova Scotia, where he has performed several
times for his old friend Jerry Eitienne, the artistic director of the
ATF.

Ger gave us his script from the Chicago run of "Do Not Go Gentle" and
his script from "Hughie" at the ATF to auction for Jerry.

A VERY special item in the auction is a CD of songs - written and
performed by Ger - entitled "5 Not So Easy Pieces". Ger only made ONE
recording of these song which are political in nature (be warned:
they might not appeal to some people!). It is a rough cut of the
songs - not a polished production - just Ger expressing his feelings.
This music WILL NOT be available anywhere else!!!

Along with these main items we will have some "package deals" - from
Toronto, Nova Scotia, other Ger-producitons - videos, memorabilia,
etc.

You can get to the auction (which runs for a week) from the link on
the GWDFC web site (<A HREF=3D"http://www.gwdfc.org)/">http://www.gwdfc.org)
</A> or directly at:

We'd like to thank all who donated items to the auction!
Happy bidding!!!!

Hi Everybody,
This has been a fun week for me as an FK fan.....
I have not been on Forkni for a long time and did
not know about the DVDs until a few days ago when
I was window shopping on Amazon.com. I was looking for
something else when Amazon 'recommended' the FK DVD set.
I did a serious happy dance for about 10 minutes. My cat thinks
I am crazy.

I have been home from work for the past few days and turned on
the SciFi channel only to discover an FK Marathon running.
Not only that but they played most of my favorite episodes.

I resub'd to Forkni a couple of days ago and have been really
happy to see how active this list still is. For those of you
who have the DVDs already I have a question... are there
any special features or extras on the discs? What is the
art like?

My mom likes to watch Murder She Wrote on A&E weekday
mornings, and I wasn't really paying much attention
this morning, I usually don't (I'm usually in my room
taking care of computer stuff)...and anyway, she's
like "hey, look who's there" and it was John Kapelos. I
never knew he was on there and she didn't either. He
was playing a detective again. My initial reaction was
"ok, where's Nick?" LOL. I wanted to tell the gang it
was on in case anyone wanted to catch the reply, but I
got caught up in the marathon and didn't get a chance.
:(

I thought it was an interesting coincidence that it
aired the same day as the marathon.

Mel, who missed part of yesterday's marathon being
out, and fighting with in and out cable, and watched
only three eps today (SoB is okay, just too creepy for
me, and LK is self explanitory(sp?)...LOL)

And hypnotism. Besides, as human beings, we don't just want to get what we
want-- we want it to be *real*. If it's not, it doesn't really count for
anything.
