I bought three sets and the one I opened is just fine on all my DVD players
(well, I haven't tried it on my el-cheapo $25 Day after Christmas one - but
that player seems to be the best one I have<g>)

I sold one set on eBay and the guy hasn't complained. I may use the third as
a gift or sell it on eBay, so I don't want to open it.

I haven't heard of any problems. If it is all three sets, I'd suspect the DVD
player. The first player I had was REALLY bad about some DVDs. The darn thing
just wouldn't play 1/2 of those I brought home. Although it was an expensive
Sony brand, I was overjoyed when it died.

Did everyone catch Callum Keith Rennie ("Det. Bruce Spencer" in FK ep 303
"Outside The Lines.") as a Cylon in the new Battlestar Galactica ?

If not you can catch the complete mini-series again on the Sci-Fi Channel
tonight. Check your local listings for times.

Greetings everyone,

I just wanted to wish you all a wonderful Christmas and Happy New Year! I
made a Christmas card (FK style of course) for you:

I know it's a little early, but I thought some of you might want to use it
as a wallpaper till Christmas.

Happy Holidays,

Hey
I was looking through my copy of the New York Times today. For some
unknown reason the sunday arts & leisure section comes with
saturday's paper. Anyhoo... tickets for King Lear go on sale
tomorrow.! (sunday 12-14)
Are there any days that people are planning to go?
Also (please respond off list) does anyone know where the stage door
is? I couldn't find it when I went to see Henry IV a couple of weeks
ago.

Can't wait to order!

Hi everyone,
I just wanted to let you know that the blurty FK RPG has moved due to
technical difficulties with the Blurty server.
It can now be found at the following yahoo group:

http://groups.yahoo.com/group/fkroleplaycommunity/

I would like to encourage you to join the fun either as a new player or
as a reader (both are welcome)
New players just check the files section for the characters that are
already taken. If you would like to play just set up a file for the
character you'd like to be. Then just start writing ;) There is no fixed
plot, the story evolves with the contributions of the players.
And don't be turned off that your membership has to be approved, it's
just to keep spammers out.

the following characters are already taken:
Nick
LC
Schanke
Nat
Janette
Serena
Loreen (she is a new one, which is allowed)

And we are not sticking to canon, so you can be Tracy, Vachon and Cpt
Cohen in the same game ;)
Right now a new villain would be nice

Hope to see you soon,
Doris

Subject: Lear

I just bought tickets for March 7 at 7pm.
There weren't a lot of choices left, that surprized me.

On a more FK note, it seems like Ger has gotten away from playing the
'hero' per se. It seems like a lot of his more recent work has been
villians or bad guys (ie Edmund) I would like to see him in a
Nick-type role again.

Your right, he has. I would like to see him in more Nick-type roles
as well. And of course he would have to be clean shaven!

But, it is interesting to see his Lacroixian side come out.
Wounder what LC would have to say. Probably something like,
"You've finally come to your sense, mon fils."

Observe, as in, "take note of". There is no rule 10.

Villians have appeal because they have a juicier aspect to the part. I too
would love to see Ger in a role playing a good guy again (hopefully less
clueless than the guy he played in Am. Psycho 2, but good guy. )

Its a tough road when an actor gets older. A lead role, is usually left to
the hot, up and coming types. The industry doesnt always get that older actors
can be sexy too (Even Sean Connery had to make dogs like Zardoz till
hollywood got it) My favorite Ger roles outside of FK were stuff like Ghost
Mom, and
Other Women's children, where he got to show off some of that romantic side of
him. I still would like to see him back on a good weekly series, preferably
not something co-starring Adrian Paul. There are so many good shows out there.

Are there women out there that find goatees attractive? I never have. But I
must admit, if hes gonna play a heavy, it adds to the sinister quality. It
also makes him (any guy for that matter) look way older than he actually is.

I would love to see him play on a weekly comedy family sitcom. I think he'd
be a funny on that with teenage children running around, a mother in law who
lives with him, and maybe no wife, she died and him and his mother in law
are raising the kids and he's dating. Now that would be a hoot! And maybe a
bombshell neighbor that has the hots for him, but he's not interested
because he's looking for a mother for his kids.

No, I don't like Goatees, but if one is an actor and at 46 still has
somewhat of a baby face, then I guess you do what you have to do.

I love him either way, but the clean shaven Ger with a bit longer hair so
his curls are barely there....Deb drops in floor and pants!

Okay, I'm done commenting, back to lurking, and finishing my FK Christmas
story to post tonight.

Oh, by the way the title is Season Changes
And its loooooooooooooooooong
