You forgot to add something very important to a certain FK
character...

Today is St Nicholas' Day!

It would be Nick's name day as celebrated in several fanfics.

Well.... I'd have to say 'not necessarily so', I'm afraid. I did promise to
report back on results once my best friend and I had checked the DVDs out on
both of our DVD players and on our laptops. However, due to Lesley's very
heavy work schedule, I've still not been able to lend them to her - though
I'm waiting confirmation of plans to see her next Saturday (13th) and the
following Sunday (21st) at two different Christmas parties, in which case I
can let her have them for that week.

But... though they play fine on my laptop, they only play in black and
white via my tv and DVD player! This being Forever Knight we're talking
about, it makes for a new definition of 'film noir', and judging by the
brief bits I watched on each DVD, it should be quite interesting and quite
effective, especially with those flashbacks set in the earlier parts of the
20th century, such as 1966, Spin Doctor, or Cherry Blossoms. But it's just
not the same! And yes, I did check and recheck that I had the correct 'hack
code' to convert my DVD player to accept all regions. So I'm stuck viewing
them on just a 15" screen.

My laptop has an "s-video out" jack so I can actually hook the laptop up to
my TV to watch DVD's if I wanted. You might want to check if yours does too.

Amanda, you are so right! I'm pleading some heavy RL stuff is occupying
my mind at the moment. I was so not thinking of the connection to our
Nick. Thanks for pointing out the omission.

And IIRC, when Nick was mortal birthdays were not
celebrated, but name days were. Can anybody verify?
