I had mentioned on the list a couple of days ago that I was reading
an article about the show and next week she falls in love with a guy
who comes into the morgue on a slab. I immedietely thought of Nick
and Nat in Only the Lonely.

This is posted with the kind permission of McLisa. Thanks ML!!!
I have listed on EBAY for auction a mint copy of ON HOLY GROUND, the
exceedingly rare "4th" FOREVER KNIGHT novel by Jean Graham (who lives in
xxxxxxx).
All proceeds from this auction will be donated to the San Diego Fire Relief
Fund to aid the thousands of families burned out and displaced by the San Diego
area fires of October-November 2003.
If you'd like to help apart from this auction, *please* call 1-800-HELPNOW,
or send your donations to the San Diego Fire Relief Fund (established by the
San Diego Chargers and the NFL), PO Box 609609, San Diego 92160. The San Diego
and National Red Cross are also accepting donations to help those affected by
this tragedy.
So, help us raise a nice donation for the Fire Relief Fund. Please bid on our
book! Below is a link for the item. Thanks everyone if you can help.

And thank you everyone for all your kind words and prayers. My daughter is
there as well as many others on this list.

Sorry Jean...about the dvd's.

Coming out of lurkdom to that the post office WILL leave packages anywhere in
a public area near mail boxes or at your door...UNLESS...you tell them
otherwise..in wriiting. Got this straight from the horse's...mailman's mouth.
And then I confirmed it with the local office.

Been there and had it done to me...

Again very sorry....JL

Can someone (preferably mclisa) post the email addy we need to ask permission

won't let me access the list webpage to get it. Thanks!

[It really sucks that we've gotten to the point that we need to monitor and
block ppls internet in their own homes. My two cents.]

After spending over 4 hours in fangs last night (with permission from my
children ;}= ) I sympathize with Ger, Nigel and Deborah. It is very tuff to talk
with them in ( I have caps) let alone they keep grazing your bottom lip.

I gave myself a Halloween treat yesterday and finished watching the first dvd
of the FK set. I had never seen the scene were Nick actually swallows the
garlic pill. WOW! It is so nice to see these scenes. I am so looking forward to
watching the others. Phylis

I just watched this episode on my new DVD set (yay! <g>)
I was interested to note not only a couple of scenes I'd
never seen before, but that Jon Cassar, later a
director of a least one episodes, is listed in the
credits as 'camera operator'.

Heh, I can sympathize with ya. I went all out this
Halloween and got not only canine caps, but color
contacts (with my prescription in them as I normally
wear contacts) too. I'd worn both fangs and contacts
from 1:00 pm to 1:00am! The fangs felt fine but man
did it take a while to adjust to the contacts!
Especially since the left on kept bothering me at
times during the night. Hope every one else’s
Halloween was fun too!

That would be my address, mclisa@m........ Don, argent@c......., can
of course also give permission, but normally I handle this.

And I entirely agree that it's a miserable situation when we have to be so
careful about spam that it blocks us from from places we want to go.

I tried fangs for the first time last night. Following the package
instructions, I stuck them in with Poligrip. Worked pretty well, spent
about 10 minutes admiring myself in the mirror while doing white face
makeup, then BLECH! The Poligrip came out of the back inside of my upper
fangs, and I gagged big time. Pulled out the fangs pronto, and spent the
next ten minutes scrubbing out Poligrip and gagging, alternately. (My
dentist knows I gag easily, but it slipped my mind somehow...) But once
I got over that, I had a fun time handing out treats and listening to
the FK soundrack--makes great background Halloween music!

I bought myself a cheap pair of fake vamp teeth last
Halloween, but I've never kept them in for any real
length of time. I usually don't go to any parties, and
this apartment complex doesn't do trick or treat...the
kids go out to the surrounding neighborhood. But once
in a while I get them out and fool around with them.

But maybe next year...I'm moving and if I still have
them next year, I'll get them out. My only problem is,
the set had both top and bottom teeth, and my mouth is
too small to wear both at the same time. And I don't
think I could do poligrip with my retainers.
(permenants...they don't bother the teeth, though.)

It's kinda hard for me to imagine wearing them for as
long as it takes to film all those different takes.

Related question: How did they keep from hurting the
actors' eyes with the contact lenses? Or were they the
type they've been saying can be dangerous?

Mel

Working for the post office... I would still go to your local Post Master
and file a report...

IF they are not supposed to leave them out and they were stolen, even if
they werent insured they should still hold the carrier responsible.

I dont think you will get far, but it will get a file going.

I'm glad to hear that people have got their FK DVDs. Wish I had mine.
Despite the fact that the US Post Office is not supposed to leave packages
near peoples' doors, my mail carrier did, and someone walked off with my
package.

No DVDs for me.

Since I'd got them at the mislisted price, there's no way I can get
another set at the regular price and due to a bank screw-up I can't afford
them at the regular price (plus the fact I shouldn't feel I should /have/
to buy a new set - it's not my fault the first set didn't get to me).

And of course, the Post Office won't replace them or reimburse me for
them, as Barnes & Noble didn't ship them insured.

I think this list founder's gonna go trick or treating. At least there,
you /expect/ the trick.
