Baby!! (And: Who's Interested in a Filiming Site Tour During LCA6?)

Greetings everyone,

I've been dropping hints about this for a while, but I just wanted to "make
it official" that I will be returning home to Toronto!!

Given the high level of turnover on this list, I suspect that there aren't a
lot of people who remember me, so here's a brief (honestly, it's brief :) )
introduction: I was born and raised in Toronto, and during 1994 - 1997, I
regularly gave FK filming site tours (free of charge, by the way, in case
anyone was curious). In June of 1997, I left Toronto to pursue computer
contracting opportunities throughout the USA (I know, I'm such a traitor
:-) ). However, I love this fandom so much that I still managed to conduct
tours during my long weekends back in town.

Six years later, I have become homesick, so I have decided to return home.

I'm also thrilled to be getting back in the "fan tour business". As such,
my first thought would be to volunteer my time and my car for tourists in
Toronto during Lights, Camera, Auction Take 6, Oct. 3-5. (I probably won't
be able to attend the actual auction, however, because usually the spots are
taken by this late in September.). However, this won't be "the end of the
world" with respect to putting on a tour; I'd just need to coordinate the
tour with breaks in the LCA schedule. If you're interested in a filming
sites tour, please let me know.

Cheers,
W.

P.S.: I will be packing up my computer within the next hour or two, so I'll
be difficult to reach until I return and get set up. I expect my move to
take about a week, so I will likely be back sometime between Sept. the 23rd
to the 26th, depending on traffic conditions, weather (for instance, I don't
expect to be rained on by the remnants of Hurricane Isabel, but who knows?),
or if I suddenly get a case of wonderlust and have to spend a day in a given
place. Nevertheless, my U-Haul contract is limited to 9 days of use, so
barring any unusual circumstances, I will _have_ to be in Toronto by the
26th. So...if you send me a note, don't worry too much if you don't get a
reply for about a week; there will still be plenty of time before the
auction to put something together.

Will,
I have been here since the beginning (almost?) and I remember you. Sadly I
have not had the chance to go to TO.

Hey!

We still have some openings if you'd like to attend!

Openings are going very fast since the announcement that Kiefer Sutherland
will be a guest auctioneer.

If anyone has any questions, please don't hesitate to contact me off list.
Thanks!

This would be a great opportunity for someone to write an "everything i
needed to know i learned from...">

Actually, we did. We had it on t-shirts.

Darned if I know what happened to the entire list of them. Everybody
contributed and then the most popular ones were picked.

Anita wanted me to pass on a message to let everyone know that she's still
alive and kicking, but having trouble posting messages because she is no
longer with her previous ISP. And she is members of these groups under her
old addy. BTW, I know how to help her and am emailing her on what to do.
Her new email addy is anita.hatfield@fountainheadcollege.com She's working
on the site, but its still a problem since she lost her main person who
worked on the site, Jarvinia.

Again just to remind everyone so no one thinks the site is lost-- I had
downloaded the entire site and it is at
http://www.fkvoyage.com/fkfanfic2/ until she has the time to get it
going. The search doesn't work since the script wasn't downloaded, but
all the stories are there.
