I got this from a Stargate SG-1 site somewhere...didn't keep the URL:

Episode 13 - The Curse
Original Air Date: September 22, 2000
Written by: Paul Mullie and Joseph Mallozzi Directed by: Andy Mikita
Guest Stars: Anna-Louise Plowman as Sarah Kane and Ben Bass as Steven Rayner

When Daniel Jackson's old archeology professor, Dr. Jordan, dies in a
mysterious lab explosion, Daniel pays a return visit to his old
academic stomping grounds. Jackson travels to Chicago to attend the
funeral and see his friends and former collegues again. But as he
reacquaints himself with his former colleagues, he begins to suspect
that Dr. Jordan's death may not have been an accident. He discovers
that one of the items the professor was studying, an ancient Egyptian
jar-the Osiris Jar, an artifact recently recovered from a "cursed"
1931 expedition to Egypt, contains a perfectly preserved Goa'uld
symbiote. Apparently, a crack in the vessel compromised the sedative
solution within, killing the creature. But further investigation
reveals a second jar may have existed. With a Goa'uld apparently
stalking the campus and the local community abuzz with talk of an
ancient curse, Daniel must unravel the mystery before it's too late.

'Steven Raynor' was apparently Dr. Jordan's associate as well, and
felt he was closer to the Dr. as Daniel left to join Stargate. He was
the characterization of the 'academic jealousy' that one hears about.
The bold print is mine...

The second time Ben Bass has played a character who gets beaten up by a chick
with glowy eyes and who had been stuck in a religous Egyptian jar for several
thousand years. I wonder what he thought of it.

Is there a website where I can read THA? I peeked into
one section of that fic and it looks good, but I
haven't gotten all of it due to just getting back
online and I don't have time to dig through the daily

Also, could someone please give me the URL of the list

Subject: Confusion or Senility?

I, in my zeal to acquire a copy of EVERY FK Fanfic ever written have
become more than confused. I have stories named 'Sins of the Father'
by three authors, all different. (David Duncan, Molly
Schneider-Stormborn, and Celine Knight)
Now, I have Celine Knight filed under at least 4 aliases. That
doesn't bother me either.
BUT-Celine/Summer/Knightmuzic/Meliza ALREADY HAS A STORY BY THE TITLE
'Sins of the Father'. (Yes, I did mean to yell. I am VERY confused
and thought yelling would get me some help faster than if I asked
very quietly. Although my yelling is being done politely.)
Yet the first 6 parts of the new 'Sins of the Father' are totally
different from her already treasured 'Sins of the Father' which is a
Man from U.N.C.L.E. cross-over (and adult) (and good).
Meliza, please let me know if I have hit senility and you actually
haven't got two stories by the same name...or that I'm just confused
and that these are totally different, but you liked the name so much
you thought you'd use it again...

And I thought old-age would be fun.

While listening to CBC Radio One yesterday, I caught a bit of Catherine
Disher returning in the lead role of "Mary Marvelous", a half-hour comic
radio drama about " a mother of two with super powers torn between being
a mom and saving the world". http://cbc.ca/showcase/mnpb_winter2003.html
http://cbc.ca/insite/RICHARDSONS_ROUNDUP_VANCOUVER/2003/3/3.html
There will be another installment next Monday at 3:30 local time.

If you don't get CBC where you live, you can still listen to it on the
Internet in RealAudio (you can download the RealAudio player for free if
you don't have it already); figure out what Canadian city is in your
time zone, then go to http://www.cbc.ca/audio.html
next Monday at 3:30 p.m. to listen "live".

By default new subscriptions are set to NOT receive the WAR: topic. So if you
haven't set the topic (+WAR:) and query the listserver it won't say anything
about it.

The topic functions all the time, just doesn't get used much except during
Wars.

Sounds like a problem with the command syntax - it has to be just right to
work. You could try cutting and pasting the command from my Subscription Help

This movie is called "Willard" (it's a remake). Willard (Crispin Glover) is
the guy and his best friend is a rat named Ben. That's one of the reasons
that, in the last war, Tracy named her newly acquired pet rat "Ben"!
(Though, I'm not sure anyone got the reference at the time.)

As far as I know Lucius was never married to Selene,
she was only his steady concubine. His bachelor status
was not necessary to a Roman general. It was only the
ordinary troops that weren't allowed to be married.

If we say that Lucius was 48 when he was brought
across, - he was born, in 31, under emperor Tiberius,
must have entered military service late under Claudius
and during Nero's, became a general under emperor
Vespasianus and was brought across under Titus.

What about what he told Nick..."I taught Nero the tune
and together we watched Rome burn..."? Could he have
had enough influence before he was a general for that
part....or was he a general then? And how do we know
he wasn't married to Selene? Just curious.

Selene was a prostitute. This comes up from time to time and I think the clue is
the color of her clothing. Plus, I believe, it is mentioned in the script (am I
wrong with that point?).

In addition, if he was the husband of Selene and public father of Diva, he would
NOT have had to ask to see his daughter. The husband ruled the roost.

(It has been a long time since I saw the episode, but I do recall the
explanations on this list<g>)

Okay, this just bugs me. Vachon tries to deflect
Tracy's questioning about the organ poachers, but not
only does he just happen to know "something" about it,
but somehow knowledge of the name of one of the
doctors involved has filtered down to him. Entirely
too convenient. Even being willing to accept this
massive hunk of cheddar, if the people/vampires
involved are so lax with security, you'd think law
inforcement would have had inklings of it before this.

A clumsy error/plot device in a recently-aired episode
of The Sentinel put me in mind of almost the exact
same situation in Forever Knight. In Capital Offense
why doesn't Nick just use his hearing to monitor the
fugitive Laura's heartbeat and respiration to tell if
she's lying or not? It seems to me that with both TS
and FK writer's either weren't as familiar with the
show as they should be, or chose to ignore
characteristics already established for Jim and Nick
respectively. Makes for lazy storytelling, IMO.

Speaking as someone who has taken a polygraph in the past, and failed it, I
have no faith in their use as a screening tool. If you are nervous or
stressed, whether or not you are lying, you will fail, as well as if you are
calm and together and lying, you will pass.

Absolutely--and if a person doesn't care about lying and has no fear of
being detected, lying will not be stressful for them--so no increase in
heartbeat, etc.
