Subject: Friend of Nick's?

From the Feb issue of Reader's Digest:

"When Jack LaLanne was in his 30s... for a while, he drank a quart of cow's
blood every day. It was a notion he borrowed from the Masai, an African people
of legendary strenth and endurance.... Then one day there was a clot in his
cocktail, and he nearly choked. That was the end of that."

I'm not sure whether to gag or laugh!! Do you think Nick ever has that problem?

This is the message I got from Columbia House DVD in reply to
my email. To me, it sounds like their usual reply, not
terribly promising.

Hi everyone out there,

I joined the list (and the fiction list)a couple of
days ago, and I thought it would be nice to introduce
myself (the guys from the German Lacroix list already
know me, hi heike and co.

I'm Doris from Germany. I came to FK in about 1995 or
96 but I only became a die hard fan early last year
and only since then I've discovered the huge fandom on
the web (howl, all those years without knowing you
guys existed).

You are amazing!!!

I've also started to write my own fkfics (most of them
are adult ones ;)

So, love to hear from you guys.
Fangs for the memories,

Doris

Is there not some Grand Poo-bah at Columbia House who we could ask about
this? Sounds like the people answering our queries are making up the
replies out of thin air. Whoever got the promising reply - I don't suppose
the employee signed their name, eh?

Hi,

Unlurking for just a moment.

It took me a while to figure it out, the scene is so bizare, but 'bat-girl'
isn't really hanging upside-down. She is in the coffin. Janette is looking
in over the head of the coffin. It is one of those really different shots
FK is famous for.

I've appended "Dark Revival" as a Word document. If you have problems
with it, let me know. I haven't got "Light of Day" however, I do have
"Cold Light of Day" which is an Adult story. Let me know you're over
18 and if you think it's the right one I'll send it along.

In the past when we've begged Columbia House for FK on video or dvd, they have
always said something along the lines of "not being able to offer it at this
time". "We plan to offer it in the near future" sounds encouraging to me.
