I hate to have to keep asking people to hunt down my stories for me, but my
computer hates me. I don't actually have the final version of Joshua (Revised).
Did anyone hang onto it?

HOAX!!!! Don't delete this file--it's a legitimate Windows file. See
http://www.symantec.com/avcenter/venc/data/jdbgmgr.exe.file.hoax.html
Please, do not send these things out before doing a googlesearch or
checking a legitimate virus site.

Please DON'T DO THIS! Windows needs this file to run!
I know people who have done this and have had to
reinstall Windows. This is an irresponsible hoax.
See http://www.hoaxbusters.org/ for more information
on this. This hoax makes the rounds every few months.

They don't need to reinstall windows! You just have to replace the file. You
may get some errors depending what programs you run, ( developers would use
this, the everyday person probably will not) you do but reinstalling windows is
not one that you have to do. You could probably find a copy of it on a friends
machine who has the same operating system as you do and copy it onto a floppy
and copy it back to your pc. You could probably do a search on the file name in
http://groups.google.com and there would probably be a post their telling you
where you could download a copy.
I am a network administrator. I have been working and playing around with
taking them apart, reinstalling, etc. Since Dec 1983. I work with computers all
day. So if you have deleted the file see about replacing it. Instead of going
through the pain of reinstalling.
Now saying that I know Lisa considers this off topic. I have asked her in the
past if I could pass information along to the list that I had found out and
since I am in the field I thought it would be useful, but she said no.
Please do your research ANYTIME you get something like this. If you can't
remember exact links go to google.com and do a search for virus hoaxes.
