Some things you do not because you actually believe you'll succeed, but because
you *have* to believe that you might. Because to do otherwise would mean giving
up all hope.

It's no Forever Knight or Highlander, Jenice, but it is indeed worth
watching!!

And so he should just have given up? I've always found the attitude that
all would be well if Nick would just be a good little boy and do what "Daddy"
says beyond my comprehension. Nick's tenacity in the face of
an overwhelming obstacle is kinda what the show was about.

I do think she was being genuine in trying to help Nick out. I think she
sensed his desperation at that given moment. What she didn't count on was her
inability to placate Lacroix.

Absolutely. Striving against insurmountable odds is the hallmark of
the hero. Even if you can't win, you have to try, because to give in
is to deny your ownself and betray your principles.

Again, I agree. I don't think she minded Nick being LC's main
obsession (who wants to be the object of that kind of love?). But she
simply couldn't defy LC in the end and she cracked. She did try,
though.

I was reading the recent posts in the Lexx newsgroup and came across one
where someone asked who was the actor who played Brizon in the Lexx episode
of the same name. Someone else posted a link to his IMDB info, and to my
very great surprise, the actor who played Brizon is the same actor who played
Miklos (assuming IMDB is correct)!!!! I really had no idea. Did anyone else
realize this? Is IMDB correct about it? If so, boy, has he ever changed!!!
