Ann Foley ,snip> was a tough little poodle who thought she was a big bad
wolf.

I have watched this episode many times. This time I just sat back and
watched them act. Nick's expression when Ann asked him to steal the casebook
was priceless.

Logically you would think so but it is confused. Outside Schanke
comments that if Ann doesn't co operate with them they'll bring her
in. Nick says he's sure Ann will talk. Inside Nick disappears just as
Ann dressed in knee highs and a plaid skirt accosts Schanke . Schanke seems
genuinely amazed that Nick told her about that and even gave her the
right school.

In the mood Nick was in in this episode I can see him doing just that.
Nick and Schanke weren't that close Yet . Ultimately I suppose it depends on
whether you believe Nick thought Schanke could pull it off. .

Interesting by the next episode False Witness their relationship has
become much closer. Schanke just walked in when he came to see Nick which
would mean Nick has given Schanke the access codes to the loft. . .

They weren't.

And not only do you get the popcorn scene in false Witness you actually get
to find out what happened to the musician who was falsely accused of
murder. something Else Showcase didn't think we needed to see.

Okay, I'll stop holding my breath then. But I'll look forward to IWR
just the same--who wouldn't?

Hmm, perhaps Nick told Schanke that he might have to improvise, and
Schanke should play along. But he didn't mention anything about Ann's
clothing. And perhaps Schanke got invited over to the loft after that
shift, as a friendly gesture. I can see Schanke wheedling Nick's alarm
code out of him after that. "We're partners, right?"

Gosh, this is sounding more and more like a fic waiting to be written.

In Unreality TV Schanke does show up in the loft while Nick's asleep on the
couch with an empty bottle of blood, which Nick barely has time to put under
the cushions before Schanke sees it. Nick suggests a phone call first in the
future. :)

But if people can be injected without comming over
The virus must be held in the fangs themselves
not in the bloodstreem

I always figured that the virus was really pretty weak at first-- the body's
defenses wipe it out before it can get a hold. But if the system is badly
compromised (not many white bloodcells left after you've been drained), the
virus gets it's grip and doesn't let go.

And as the patients found out extended youth has a price to be payed

EVERYTHING has a price. People just don't like to pay it.
