Thanks for the explanation. All I remember about chemistry was
struggling with the math.

That is sort of what I figured she must have done with the candle since
in the next bit of the scene she had somehow transformed the rat poison
from what I assumed would probably have been a crystalized form into a
liguid and was injecting it into Nick. I just wasn't sure if you could
do it. Would it melt or would it burn?

I agree it would have been nice if they could have showed us at least
the start of the procedure. After all it was Natalie's moment of glory.
For once she got to save Nick instead of vice versa.

The reason they probally didn't show any of it
was the writers didn't know themselves
The writers just came up with 3 things that sounded good
Writers don't have to work out the phyics of what they write
just so it sounds good (dramitic/exciting)

but Natalie must have been a genius
to be able to do that on the fly

Just out of pure dum curiosity, does anyone have any ideas as to when or fi
the site will be updated? I asked about this probably quite some time ago,
but was told that Mel just has *absolutely no time* to deal with RL issues
and the site all at once. Does anyone else help her out perhaps to maybe
take off some of the pressure?

Subject: Ancient Roman Cop show

This is apparently a real thing.

From Cinescape Online (cinescape.com) for Friday, September 8:

Ancient Roman Cop Show
Though it sounds like a comedy pitch, it's actually quite real.
DreamWorks and NYPD Blue creator David Milch (out of Paramount Network
Television) are teaming together to create an hour long cop show that
would be set in ancient Rome. According to Variety, the potential
series has already caught the attention of the ABC, NBC and Fox
television networks.

The trade reports that D'Works and Paramount will be seeking a
13-episode commitment from whichever network take sit on, which will
also be expensive with word of a price tag of $1.8M episode. In
addition, the two-hour pilot is likely to be directed by Gladiator
helmer Ridley Scott with a budget of $8M.

The program would be set in the year 65 A.D., during the reign of Nero
which suggests that a potential series of episodes would involve the
burning of Rome. More specifically, the main characters on the series
would be in the Urban Cohort, the pseudo police department of the era.

I can see LC on it, being behiind it, or secretly watching and nitpicking it.
Especially thanks to the first part of the last paragraph.

Considering how torn he was in that episode, and how vengeance dominated the
flashback theme, this is very likely.

One way of telling if the domain name is no longer on the DNS servers-- ping
it If it comes back "Unknown Host and then the domain name you put in" you
know that the domain hasn't been renewed yet.

Good Morning all!

I was away from the List for so long, that I have no idea whether or not
there have been any additional V4S episodes. Shame on me, but I can't
remember the name of the last one I read, and the binders with my print outs
are in storage since I moved!

Can anyone help?

Thanks in advance :>D

As I remember it, it was the stimulant effect from the strychnine (in small
amounts) she needed to bring Nick back. Again, I believe she made a liquid
with it and heated it up with the candle and spoon, etc.

Of course, I always wondered why one would need to jump start the heart of a
Vampire <g>, so to speak :>D Any thoughts on that part? Or am I thinking of
other Vampire canon (eg: Angel's and/or Spike's heart do not generally beat).
Though, I do remember when Nick brought Natalie's brother across, there was
an occasional blip on the heart/EKG monitor (what we would call an agonal
rhythm).

All righty then, I am confusing myself now, so perhaps I should shop <g>!
