Well... I've got 3 (count 'em... 3!) FK fics currently in varying stages of
writing, including a Poltergeist: the Legacy/FK xover and the sequel to 'In
Another Life', but Real Life (in the form of a new online business venture)
is eating into my scribbling time.

I do have a short xover fic which was written last year and donated to the
good people at The Crusader, but I haven't been able to get in touch with
anyone from them about it.

Anyway... please bear with me, and I should be back to writing (and posting)
on a more regular schedule very soon.

Cya later! <g>

We just got a cat from a pound, and it looks remarkably similiar to Sidney <
down to the striped tail>. We have no idea what it is, but I'm fairly
confident that, if not the same breed, it's a fairly close cousin to that
that particular kind. Thanks for any input ;)

Ah, but Ger has already had a show where he's been in tights, ballet
tights that is! Have you never seen the episode of Diamonds called Leap
of Faith where he plays a defecting Russian Ballet dancer?

For those of you in the USA that get Goodlife TV (digital cable network),
they are currently running Diamonds once a week. Unfortunately, Ger's ep
"Leap of Faith" is not on in August, but check their schedule at
www.goodtv.com for future airdates.

Been there. Seen that. Oh, *my,* have I seen that. :)

Okay, here's the explaination--I saw him play D'Artagnan in 'The Three
Musketeers' at Stratford some 15 or so years ago. I had lovely front
row tickets. What a sight. And is somewhat directly responsible for my
watching FK to start with.

I'd like to see Ger and Catherine Disher doing 'Taming of the Shrew'
and/or 'Much Ado About Nothing'.
In 'Taming of the Shrew': Ger as Petruchio (sp?) and Catherine as Kate.
In 'Much Ado About Nothing': Ger as Benedict and Catherine as Beatrice.

Sorry, I've never heard of Diamonds. What type of show is it and where can it

Kylie just has a way of writing kids so that they are *real* -- not treacly,
cherubic, or stereotypical brats. Nicky is a "real" little boy, and I just
like the kid. I also like his Daddy, the way Kylie writes him. He's not
"greater than life," but he's also not some self-centered, laughable nimrod
either. He has integrity and fortitude, which I personally see as admirable
Nick-traits, but he also can be pig-headed and overly impulsive. And Kylie's
LC -- well, she's obviously in love with the guy! "g" He's, in turns, scary
and tender, brutal, autocratic, and deeply committed to his own principles and
to his family. And Jordan is one of the best written OFCs I've come across --
no Mary Sue there, but a character that fits in well in the FKverse.

The "Misbegotten" series also got off to a great and intriguing start. I
can't wait to see what she does with it. And her Valentine series (forgotten
the name for the moment) shows she has a talent for exploring different
factional approaches and relationships.

Kylie! Pleeeeeeease write us some more!!!! Pretty please?? With ghiradelli
on top???

Typical 80's husband-wife detective series. The only place I've seen it in
syndication now is on Goodlife Television.

I was just thinking about today's ep, if looks could kill. In this ep we
think we've seen Janette bring the Baroness over. But in a previous episode,
we heard Janette talking about how she never brought anyone over because she
doesn't know when to quit. So I was thinking, maybe LaCroix brought the
Baroness over for Janette? I know, there's probably something that says she
was supposed to have brought her over but . . . it just made sense to me.

Congratulations to you and the newly adopted cat! Sydney wasn't any particular
breed. He was what cat fanciers call a Domestic Short Hair, or DHS for short.
He did have interesting markings. Are you going to name him Sydney?

BTW, the script for Only the Lonely spelled it "Sydney." I've heard that
originally we were told Nat named him after Sydney Greenstreet. I wish they'd
kept it in, since it would have told us that Nat likes old movies. We didn't
get much information on her interests outside the morgue.

I keep encountering cats named Sydney on web sites. Every time, I wonder if
the owners are FK fans.

Can someone recap, please?

Shortly put, here it is. Stonetree mentions that he's from Arizona, and that
there are scorpions all over the place. (I haven't encountered any, but I have
friends that have.) And that there is a legend that if you catch a scorpion,
you should never, ever burn it, because if you do, scorpions come from miles
around to get you. Schanke asks if it's true, and, after a pause, Stonetree
says, "No. It's a legend. Just like vampires." He acts very much like someone
who, rather than scoffing at an old wives tale, is trying very hard to convince
someone that something isn't true. (Schanke, vampires)

From his intonation and facial expression, I gathered that Stonetree
indulging in a bit of misdirection. What he seems to leave unspoken is "a
lot of legends are true--like vampires." I think Stonetree knew, and I
think that Schanke knew subconsciously, but that he couldn't admit it to
himself because then he wouldn't have the absolute trust in his partner that
he needed.

LaCroix - The 39 Steps, wherein Charles Boyers tries to make everybody think
his wife, Ingrid Bergman, is insane. Hombre, a Western where the hero
doesn't have any motivation at all to help his fellow stranded-and-pursued
passengers, and lets them know that. I think he'd also like the "screwball"
comedies of the 1930s, just to laugh at silly human foibles.

Janette - Belle du Jour, wherein a housewife prostitutes herself for kicks;
Dolores Claiborne, (no plot given for spoiler reasons); African Queen.

Nicholas - swashbuckling stuff, like Captain Blood, Beau Geste and every
Three Musketeers movie ever made. Oh, and definitely the 1950s version of
The Buccaneer, with Yul Brynner as Jean Lafitte.

Screed - Captains Courageous, with Spencer Tracy, Oliver! and Run Wild, Run
Free (a Mark Lester movie with a mute boy, a horse, and a falcon).
Sentimental as he is, I think he has quite a collection of Christmas movies,
too.
