You know you've been watching/reading about too much FK when you're shopping for
a new car, and the dealer opens the trunk, then goes on about how much space
there is inside it, and the thought crosses your mind that it's still not quite
enough space for a vampire to sleep comfortable inside during the daytime!

Subject: TV Shows on DVD Site: New Way to Get FK on DVD!

Greetings,

I have just discovered a new place that actually specializes in getting TV
shows on DVD. This is definitely not a place to ignore. Here's a little info
about the site:

The purpose of the site is to get more TV shows released on DVD.
How do they plan to pull it off? Well, they plan on having a working
relationship with the studios. The site has users who come and register on
it (for free) and show interest in their favorite TV shows. They then let
the studios know how many people want to see the shows they own released on
DVD, and how they want them (season sets, best of, or individual episodes).
Once the studios can see the interest in their product they will strongly
consider releasing more TV product on DVD.

This site has already helped lots of other shows get to DVD and Forever
Knight can be found on their voting list. Here's the current stats:

Voting Results

Overall Rank: 53rd
Season Set: 60 (97%)
Best of: 7 (11%)
Individual Episodes: 12 (19%)
Total Number of Voters: 62

Let's get this rank higher, shall we? Go to this address and register to
vote for Forever Knight on DVD:

http://www.tvshowsondvd.com/index.cfm

Every month, I will be posting Forever Knight's ranking. Remember, the
higher it goes, the better chance it has to go on DVD. Click the link above
to vote. It's easy, free, and most importantly, it can lead to Forever
Knight on DVD!

Thank you for your support,
Kristin

A while back I started reading a series of stories
where Nick became blind and Perry was his seeing-eye
dog. Anyway, the last one I read had him at a school
for blind kids.

Does anyone know the name of the series/author? I'd
like to go back and finish reading and see what
happens.

Thanks.

In the Saturday toronto Star, the subject of the Arts & Entertainment
section is the 50th Anniversary season of the Stratford Festival.

Included in the many articles is an interview of Colm Feore and Geraint
Wyn Davies who are both playing Henry Higgins in My Fair Lady. There's a
really nice picture of Colm and Ger, both dressed in formal white tie,
but unfortunately that picture is not included in the online article
which you can read at the URL below.

I'm off to see Colm's version of MFL on Tuesday.

I always thought he was probably a vampire. When Liam, the hunter,
sticks the cross against his face I think from Miklos's expression that
it's supposed to be hurting him, but like someone said, he has the
conjones to not show anything more than a grimace. Then he disappears
off camera, again, sheer speculation, but I figure he runs into the back
cursing up a storm :)

But other than that, he seems as close to Janette as Alma, who is a vamp,
so I figure, if he isn't a vampire he at least knows and is under
Janette's protection. Besides, how many glasses of the Raven's "wine"
could someone pour before noticing it's strange coppery smell?

Plus, Miklos makes a sexy vampire! Especially paired with Tracy. Has
everyone checked out Deanie's way cool Tracy/Miklos page and archive?

Don't I recall from long-ago FK lore that Gillian Horvath created the
character Miklos, and that her characterization of him was that he was indeed
a vampire, and that the person who wrote Bad Blood and used Miklos had made
an error by writing Miklos as mortal, and that FK continuity being what it
was no one caught it in time? Does anyone else remember this version of
events or have I finally completely lost it? ;-)

I remember reading that on this list. I don't remember who had heard Ms Horvath
discuss it firsthand, but I think it came from a panel discussion at a
convention. IIRC doesn't she have a web site somewhere?

<<McLisa used the example of Dark Shadows 1991 as one where recasting
didn't work. I respectfully take the opposite view. I LOVED it. I'm a
Willie Loomis fan so had my doubts as to that character, but I actually
liked the newer one even better. ALthough the stories were the same, I
probably, overall, liked both versions equally as did my friends - many
of whom adored the old series and were initially against a new one.>>

I believe the reason the DS series didn't last was because of the Gulf
War, not the recasting.

I actually liked the new Willie Loomis. I didn't like Ben Cross as
Barnabas, but Adrian Paul as Jeremiah kept me glued to the screen.

That's what I remember reading as well. I know it was interrupted by war
news numerous times.

There wasn't the Internet availability there is today, either. So unlike a
few years later when fans were getting FK renewed, there was mainly snail
mail campaigns. I only heard about it after the show was cancelled.

The "new" Willie Loomis is working at Walmart in Benton. I swear I talked to
him last night<g> QUITE the resemblence in appearance and personality (I'm
refering to the character, NOT the actor<g>)

I always thought Screed and the new Willie would get along, with Screed
feeling sorry for Willie's lack of social skills and probably giving him a
few pointers<g>
