Oh, the blonde haired blue eyed angel <dreamy looks>.
I am especially happy they cast Ger in the role and for the
same reason I think no one would ever be able to fill his
shoes. The image of Nicholas as a fallen angel, innocent as
a child, and representing the sun and the brightness of the
day for the vampires who chose him, is a repeating theme in
most fanfics. If it weren't for Ger's good looks and his
million-dollar smile, it would've never been this
delicious.

Molly, I miss those stories of yours <sigh>

Yes, but the CADDY was rugged. And sexy.

Ahhhhhhh. the Caddy.....riding in the passenger seat, sitting on the hood,
sleeping in the trunk. ;-) I think I'd just like to sit behind the wheel in
my driveway and listen to the engine purr. Maybe eat some cheesy poofs too.

So, what is your idea of a Fantasy Evening Out with the Caddy? Keep it
clean, folks, just like the Caddy's finish. The Caddy has its underage fans
to consider.

Maybe that explains his fascination with the "ratsie wot kilt Screed."
Although it is white stricked with blood red, it is a rodent and if his hair
is mouse colored, would that make them ... COUSINS?

I dug around to see if I could find the interview I vaguely remembered, and
here's an entertaining excerpt from the piece, which was in Playgirl. It
also sheds some light on why they liked the unshaven look.

I personally like "Nick" either clean shaven or with a short beard, but not
with the sandpaper effect.

"RL=Real Life. It's that stuff that keeps happening that gets in the way of
that other stuff."--Sue Clark

Excerpt from 1995 interview:

P: You're not out in the sun getting tan, are you?

GER: As much as I can be, on hiatus.

P: But you shouldn't be.

GER: I know....I'll burn and rot in Hell for it.

P: The show's make-up person will hate you for it.

GER: The first season, I was so conscientious about it--I hid under
umbrellas and things like that--until I thought, "Forget about this," and I
called the makeup woman and said, "I'm going out in the sun. Can you deal
with it?" She said, "Oh, go and do it." So I have ever since. None of this
indoor stuff....I'm big on light.

P: You'll be the blondest, tannest vampire ever.

GER: Since Interview With A Vampire came out, blond vampires are OK.

P: You put the "C" in Caucasian!

GER: Someone once said I was the pinkest person she'd ever seen. When I
started acting I wondered why I never got the parts all the other guys were
getting. They just wouldn't cast me in "street" stuff. Not a hope.

P: You're like Richie Cunningham from Happy Days.

GER: I'm the Opie of vampires.

Subject: Update on KC

Just wanted to let you all know that KC arrived safely at her in-law's house in
southern California this morning. She will be heading to the Norris Cancer
Institute within the next day or so.
Thanks to all of you and your gracious, loving support, KC has $700.00!!! Her
husband says that he will have the last $100.00 in the bank, before she has to
leave.
THANK YOU!!!! I can't say it enough.
I will keep you updated, as I can.
 God bless you all.

Thanks, Mary. What a hoot!

<snicker> Yup, that he does!

It's not so much the blond here, I think, as that boyish look. He just doesn't
say "menacing" at all, unless he's working at it.

An image I'm going to treasure!

Thanks for the research, Mary.

Subject: Admin: Warning re My Party virus

Yes, I know we don't usually do virus warnings on the FK lists and it's still
not something to be done without my or Don's permission.

Last time there was a serious virus epidemic on the net, several of us got it
through what appeared to be responses to our list mail. So, the following is
forwarded from Symantec. Please be aware of the problem and don't open any
copies you get, no matter who it seems to be from. The virus goes into the
victim's address book and folders of email and sends itself to those addresses.

Subject: Kristin Lehman Alert

*delurking*

I found a couple of things for Kristin Lehman coming up in Feb. First, she
is guest-starring on Andromeda (Lisa Ryder's current series) in the
episode "Lavas and Rockets", scheduled to air the weekend of 2/8-2/10.
Check your local listings for times. Second, Sci-Fi is going to start
showing Strange World on Fridays beginning 2/8 at 8pm and 11pm ET.

Even though I mostly lurk and don't post very often, it's nice to see that
this list is such a supportive "family" to one another and not just
another internet group where people flame each other all the time.
