Subject: calling Mercs to the Guild List

Hello... Considering the question I posed (which has gotten some traffic on
the list, yea!) I ask that all Mercs check the Guild mailing list and give
their own thoughts to the location of important Merc locations....

I taped & watched the movie. I was skeptical about Catherine Disher
being in it, since she was not in it's listing in IMDB.com, or in a couple
other lists I have of her credits.

Who was in it, was Alberta Watson (Madeline from LaFemme Nikita), as
the lawyer, and Claudia Christian (Ivonava from B5) as the patient
who fell in love with the psychiatrist and killes his wife. In some shots,
either of these women could have been mistaken for CD.

So, no FK Alumni, but a better than average made for TV movie.

Is there any canon response to this? I suggested it as a fic idea to my
friend Kathy, and she didn't know either.

When people are brought across, do their eggs/sperm die? What I want to
know is, can vampires reproduce by artificial insemination or surrogate
motherhood?

I don't recall it being discussed in FK canon, but they were quite
adamant that female vampires couldn't get pregnant after they were
brought across. At the time the show was on the air, human cell
cloning wasn't around. It could be an option, but where would the
vampire go to have it done? The challenge would be finding a doctor
who is either a vampire, or who knows about vampires, who knows how
to do the procedure. Just a thought. :)

I figure that many vampires would be very interested in cloning.

And I wouldn't be surprised if there's a few of the older vampires
supporting cloning research...

Figure, stable blood supplies (in case something happens to the human
population), or say there's a specific person/type with a flavor they enjoy-
they can have one in reserve, raised to their specific instructions...

Some vampires, besides Nick, (I'm figuring younger ones) may have a problem
with using humans and clones so calloulousluy (sp?). And some, like
LaCroix, would see the possibilities, but feel that it may take away from
the thrill of hunting...

Dark Perk Mansion is supposed to be in a quiet and average suburb. No
one on our list knows enough about Toronto to pick a likely one though.
The address itself is 1313 Mockingbird Lane which Mildred already pointed
out, doesn't really exist. (unless it's a new subdivision and it just
isn't on the map yet ;-)

Damn! I really *must* finish reading all those War posts someday. (Yeah,
like a faction leader has time to read the storylines he or she isn't
personally involved in.)

Obviously, the Cousins are headquartered at CERK. Where this is actually
supposed to be located, I have *no* idea. How many episodes were there
where the place was visited? Close Call, when Schanke visited
Lacroix. And Curiouser and Curiouser, of course. Father's Day? I don't
recall an address every being given.
