List mommy!  My sis wants to get on the list but I forgot what command to
send it and I lost your address so I can't just mail you off list, and she
said she already mailed you, but you must be really busy (big surprize)
because she hasn't gotten an answer left, and I'm running out of breath, so
I better add a period somewhere in here.
So, that's the problem.  Please help. :)

Send an email to listserv@l........

In the body, type in subscribe forkni-l firstname lastname

You can subscribe to fkfic-l the same way.

The help file from the listserv is below:

There are more commands; send an INFO REFCARD command for a comprehensive

Y'all
I'm sure this has been posted b4 but for those who missed it ---Rick
Springfield has taken over the lead in Las Vegas production of FX.   I
haven't heard reviews yet.  Everyone thought David Cassidy was outstanding,
Tommy Tune so-so.  Now the original  Nick has the part.  I didn't get a
chance to catch to show. Anybody who does, let us know your unbiased opinion!

Isn't that the same thing as self-improvement?  In most hard core (ooooh,, am
I over the PG-13?)  metaphysics, happiness is directly linked to satisfaction

Very clearly he would be happier "not" killing,.  He has no belief yet tghat
there is any other way to be.

I didn't say that the Hero has to die.  Usually he doesn't.  But the Hero
must offer up his life for others in order to qualify as a Hero.  In this
case, the prove the tale, I think he has to give back the gift he has stolen
in order to redeem himself.  That means giving up his life - which has not
truly been his since the day he became a vampire.  He has subsisted on the
lifeblood of others.  He has saved a number of lives in the past.  Obviously,
that wasn't enough.

In story writing, and I didn't come up with all this myself, as brillliant as
I am ;-), the Beast is also the earth-bound, nasty Ego with which we are all
burdened.  The longing of the Beast for Beauty, and the longing of the male
vampire for the mortal woman plays on the Ego's desire to be perfect (cosmic,
sinless, the soul, reuniting with the Deity).  How often did Nick insinuate
that he thought humans were somehow "better", more moral?

Okay - I'm not that good.  Each of the FK characters must wear many masks coz
let's face it, this is not a cast of thousands.  For LaCroix, definitely a
Gatekeeper and definitely the Shadow side of Nick.  All the masks
(charactrers) represent projections of the Hero.  LC is definitely the Shadow
and Mentor and lot of other good stuff.  That's why he is just so complex and
lovable.

Portia, I agree completely. I've always seen LC in the bad boy guise as well
as being the sophistacate. He always seemed at home in the goth atmosphere
of The Raven, he was a rock DJ., I could see him driving a low to the
ground, sleek,(black of course),Italian sportscar! He looks great in tight
fitting leather, has a spiked, bleached blond doo( very Billy Idol) AND was
born in THE original party city. Rome. Can you say orgy?!
