was a hallucination.>>

From a practical point of view, I must agree. Ben Bass has stated that he
does not wish to revive his portrayal of Vachon, per his fan club website
faq section. And while I liked Lisa as Tracy Vetter, I think the
Nick/Schanke interaction was much better.

As for the question of the week. I would take FK back anyway I can get
it.
Like Star Trek one day TPTB might wake-up and give us an FK the next
generation. Although, I'm not holding my breath.

If we are very lucky we may get a 2 hour revival mini-series/movie like
they have done for a few of the older TV shows.

But I mostly want TPTB to offer all 3 seasons on DVD. Needless to say
everyone write and email TPTB as much as possible, please!!

You know you've been reading too many Forever Knight war posts when.... you
come across the surname 'Nicolics' and *immediately* assume this must be
some new faction you've not previously heard about.... presumably the
Knighties' version of the NA!

(Doubtless to be found wearing medieval outfits, hair shirts <VECG>, and
doing pilgramages to such important 'shrines' as the Loft, Brabant in
Belgium, Paris, St Petersberg and any other location where Nicholas has been
known to visit or reside....)

Your bibliography professor, a rare book collector, brings a 16th century
French Latin textbook to class for everyone to look at, and you can't help
do a double-take on noticing the original owner's name (Nicholas) and a note
on the flyleaf ("Lucius, mon ami").

And doing hunt-grab expeditions of such treasured collectibles as the Nick
hairbrush, Nick black pj's, Nick sword, Nick corkless bottles (Portia has
all the corks by now), Nick paintbrushes, Nick....

Hmmm, that one's a bit too frighteningly close to home for me (and I'm not even
the one who saw
it).

It's because we don't have the money for big production values ... (g)

Actually we only export the good ones. There are some real stinkers up here
too, believe me! But I think there may be some advantage, for an artist, in
living close to but not as a member of the dominant culture. It gives one a
slanted perspective.

Guys, stop pulling me out of my lurkdom!! Have some pity on
a dreamy knightie who is trying hard to mix up with the
nerds’ crowd and pretend that she has no other life...

>Only some people, like me, didn't get started watching the
show because of that. I stopped channel surfing to watch
'Dark Knight' because I thought it was a cop show.<

I know of a fan who stopped channel surfing because she
caught a scene with Nick and his puppy dog look and asked
herself "who is this gorgeous blond guy and what is he
doing behind bars?" (It was the jail scene from 'dying for
fame'). People become attracted to the show for many
different reasons; question is, what makes them stay. I am
a vampire fan and I was a Buffy and Angle fan even before I
discovered FK, but I didn’t stay with either show, because
after a while, the format of those shows stopped applying
to me and my ideas. It is exactly what you said: 'the
broader scope, … the format of the show [that] opened
channels to explore' that keeps the interest there and
makes you want to watch the show over and over or try to
get your hands on any piece of fanfiction you can get.
One might say, we all got attracted to the show for various
and perhaps diverse reasons, but we stayed fans most likely
for the same grounds, the richness of what FK has to offer,
beyond the cop show, beyond the vampire myth and outside
the box.

Yup, bad cow blood sounds like a good explanation to me. :)
However I have a special interpretation of Last Knight
When I saw lk, I was in hospital (and pretty high on Morphine) even tho the
show here played at 2am, I still shuffled down to the ward TV room to watch,
while dodging Doctors and Nurses who wanted me stay in bed (how's that for
dedication!!!). You can imagine my shock at watching Last Knight especially
in that kind of condition (I hadn't even realised it was the final and was
completely unprepared). The bonus of it is, that I'm still convinced that
Last Knight was the result of a drug induced hallucination, and that the
Morphine is to blame ... My final words, last Knight NEVER happened. No one
dies EVER. Even though I have the episode on tape, I refuse to watch it
again.

For a couple of years I'd heard about "Paint Cans" from other Nigel fans. I
finally got a copy from a LEXX fan because Michael McManus (Kai) has a tiny
part in it. Big disappointment. It does *kind* of have a plot, but it is
one boring movie, IMHO.
