I know I'm not the first to wish you well, but your
have my heartfelt well-wishes anyway :) Just be
yourself and if an opportunity arises I'm sure you'll
say the right thing.

I wanted to thank all the people who wished me luck for the
preview. I will take the KtK flyers with me. Even if this
event is just for advertisement it shouldn't stop me from
doing my own thing amongst the people who attend. I'm don't
know whether I should direct people's attention to any of
our sites (since there are no channels airing the show
anymore.) I'm not sure if more attention means more backup
or more copyright problems.

I decided not to wear anything with the FK logo. The reason
is that I don't want to come across as a fanatic. Instead,
I want to be counted as part of the general public so that
the powers (whoever they are) know that it's the public
that wants FK, not just a selected group of vampire
addicts.

Again, thanks for all the help, hints and good luck wishes.
I hope I can do the best.

Luv
Sunny

This isn't to say that it still couldn't be a nice opportunity to promote FK,
but just a mild word of warning re "Television Preview" -- these people are not
TV show producers, despite rather deceptive wording to the contrary on their
"free" tickets.

"Television Preview" (known by various names at various times) is a marketing
company. They'll show you an unsold pilot film, usually some really rank sitcom
or other, but they really don't care anything at all about your reactions and
responses to the program. They will also show you several commercials during the
session, and it is *these* they want your responses to. "Television Preview" is
paid by the commercial producers (so TP themselves are not even the ad
producers, let alone tv producers) to rope in audiences to preview commercials
(not pilot films) and to measure the effectiveness of the ads.

This *can* be fun, if you know what you're getting into -- but I would strongly
advise *against* giving these people your phone number, your email address or
even your street address if you'd prefer not to be spammed with tons of junk
mail and solicitor calls afterward.

I went to one of their previews once, and tho I was annoyed that their "free
tickets" were very deceiving, I did enjoy most of the evening. I just wouldn't
give them any of the personal info. they wanted, so as far as they were
concerned, I was a wash. Oh well. (!)

But hey, Sunny, if you go, you might very well run into some other people who
like FK, or who'll ask you what your t-shirt is about, so it's still a good
opportunity!

Cheers,
  --Jean

That's the whole idea. Thanks for the warning, some other
friends from the mail list did the same and I’m basically
aware what this is all about. Though I won't deny that I
wished it were about TV, I'm still going to do my share of
promoting. The organizers might be fakes, but the attendees
aren't. Who knows, maybe I can get some more people
interested in our little show.

I *thought* this was the outfit that sent me one of those invites---yes,
just like Jean said, these guys are only testing tv commercials. The sitcoms
they show are very old and very lame. All they really want to do is pick
your brains about marketing stuff, and get your info.

It was entertaining, and I got a bag of free samples as well out of the
deal.

Please, could someone send me the eighth part of Vampwrtr's The Soul of the
Knight? The story in Mel's archives only has seven parts, and it isn't to be
found at the ftp at all.

Thanks a lot
