Only getting front page for Tracker should there be more. Was hoping I

Yes, there's gonna be more. They're just in the process of redoing the whole
site. Be patient!

Subject: Belated observations on Dark Knight

My rarely-seen sister spied _Nick Knight_ on my shelf & *had* to watch it.
Then of course, we had to view "Dark Knight" again to compare and contrast.
This led to the following speculations:

1. What was a regular old home kitchen ladle doing in the slaughterhouse?

2. Given what we later learn about LC's feeding preferences, isn't it rather
surprising that he can pretend to savor the pig's blood and that he
would offer that to Nick? [If he really wanted to get a rise out of
Nick, why not go "whole hog" (sorry, <g>) and offer human?]

3. Nick often opens the trunk and jumps in without having to unlock it
with a key or climb in the front and pop it open by pushing a button.
How does he do it without breaking the lock? (We know he can break
the lock, probably using his little finger all by itself.)

4. Did we spot a continuity error in the flashbacks concerning Nick's first
victim? Her shoulders are covered by sleeves and she seems to have
a cape tied around her neck. But in the close-ups all signs of
clothing disappear. Sloppy editing involving a mixture of the
European version and the Western Hemisphere versions?

For western Canadian fans, and those in the Pacific Northwest who might be
picking up VTV and don't want to lose Forever Knight, the address of the
programming staff at CTV, which is about to cancel Forever Knight on VTV
(Vancouver TV) in the fall, is

programming@ctv.ca

If you send - courteous and helpful! - feedback to them asking them to
reconsider the decision to cancel Forever Knight, they want to know the
name of the series, the time of the show, the city and province, and your
comments. This information (worked into your email somehow) would be:

Series: Forever Knight
Time aired - Saturday and Sunday nights at 11:00 p.m.
Place - Vancouver, B.C.
Comments - please don't cancel this series!

I loved the pun, even though I didn't reprint it. I assume that LaCroix
can do whatever he puts his mind too. After all, he didn't really have to
enjoy it and I seem to remember he only took a little sip. The other
possibility is that he was being supremely ironic in his commentw and Nick
knew it quite well.

I don't know about the mechanics of the Caddy, but I belive that there wee
some cars that you just turned a knob to open the trun if the car was
unlocked. Or perhaps NIck ahd the trun customized to open at fingertip
pressure or maybe it has a latch like a hood does, that you just have to
press. The same qursiton applies even more to how he oens the trunk form
the inside. Back when the Caddy came off the assembly line there were no
quick release cords or buttons in the trunks.

Oh, is my little brain just all a twitterpated - Hisselfishness, Greg Kramer,
is a recurring character in an upcoming series... He says he's becoming more
and more recurring as filming goes along.

What is it and why am I so excited?

Drum roll please...

THE NEVERENDING STORY!

He's one Rip Rowdy.

The series will premiere this fall across Europe, Canada and the USA. We
*think* it will be on CTV in Canada and Odyssey in the US. I heard from
someone else that the series starts this Saturday at 6 p.m. eastern time in
the US. The problem is, I don't get the station *whimper* so won't be able to
see the series unless someone takes pity on me and tapes it for me.

We hope to have pictures and such eventually. I do plan to jump the gun and
perhaps start a mailing list for the series... Rip's Rowdies? heheh. I LIKE
that! Therefore, there's now a list on yahoogroups called RipsRowdies.

Hi, Sunny.

Showcase still shows FK every Monday to Friday at noon.

If you're not home then, you can always tape it and watch it when you *are*
home. That gives you five hours of the show every week as opposed to just
two hours on the weekend.

Tales from the Neverending Story, perhaps? That's the closest thing I can
find on a search on Excite TV. Description is:
(Premiere, new: Adult Situations)
A book about a boy warrior and an empress transforms the life of a
grief-stricken 12-year-old (Mark Rendall).

But this is just a 2 hour movie. I don't see it listed on any of the
following weekends. I'll keep checking tho.

Odyssey is now Hallmark, but a lot of listings don't show the changed name
yet, even tho they announced it several months ago. I should be able to
tape it, if we don't have a big storm to interfer with the satellite
reception.

Lindy :)

Have we ever seen Nick *use* a key to open the trunk? Most likely, he has
"customized" the car by removing the trunk lock, so he just has to move
aside the keyhole cover, stick his finger in, and unlatch the latch.

Unfortunately, as we Canadian fans all have noticed, Showcase is not very
consistent in the airing of FK. They often skip episodes, or show them in
a crippled format. And lets not forget the missing tag for “False
Witness”, I can’t believe I’m never going to see the infamous Popcorn
scene :(

Aside from all that, it pains me that the networks treat our favorite show
this way. First SciFi and now CTV, a Canadian station nonetheless, have
taken it off time slots that weren’t even that important to the stations,
and replaced it with junk food entertainment. Besides, how many times a
week does someone need to watch Fraiser, or Friends or the Drew Carey show
(no offence to fans of these shows, I used to be a fan of Friends myself),
or better say on how many different channels?

But I guess this has been said too many times before so I won’t bore you
with it.

Thanks for the tip anyway. I think I have to start recording now. Well,
how does the saying go—good things never last? Lets count them, FK, VTV,
Napster, Rain forests…

Still fighting
Sunny

True, but what about their faces? Their gestures? Nick giving his cute
little-boy grin, LaCroix raising one eyebrow, Janette smoking a cigarette
on a stick, Nat crossing her hands on her chest and shouting "I'm giving
up on you" for the umft time, Vachon blinking, Screed sniffing, Tracy
pursing her lips, Schanke...

That’s what I mean by sustenance, to watch them and remember them and love
them over and over again. Perhaps I’m too addicted. I’ll miss them like
family.

Tut-tut! No need to fret. While I have yet to accumulate the entire FK
series on tape, there are friendly fans out there with dubbing capabilities
who will share with you. I *do* have all of Lexx on tape and enjoy watching

1) It is a not-uncommon trick amidst custom car builders to
include hidden electronic buttons to release things like trunks and
doors (typically if you've "shaved" the vehicle and removed the door
handles entirely). I wouldn't call that Caddy a custom, but I could
see that Nick had a push-button release added for those times
when he is moving fast and needs to get into the dark without
fumbling in his pockets for keys.
2) I am not really a vintage Cadillac fan, so I don't know for sure,
but I could also believe that that era of the Caddy had a seperate
trunk lock. That there was a normal latch and then a seperate lock
so you could leave your trunk locked or unlocked as you pleased.

My guess is that this is the premiere, and I don't know if Greg is in it or
not. However, it will be a series, and from his description, a wonderful one

My bit about the caddy lock is that being an old car buff the locks are
different. You can leave them unlocked just press and open. You have to
turn my door handle to open or shut and people drive me nuts banging the
door shut a couple of times because it did not close for them. It was very
nice of them to see me off but my poor lock. Sue.
