In a book on heart-healthy eating, I read the following: "No diet can
guarantee immortality." And I couldn't suppress an evil chuckle.

I think the war posts should be organized as the action really occurred.

WANTED: insane masochistic, erm, kindly volunteer(s) with no life--- I mean,
with a little spare time to read war posts.

I'm almost done with the organization and I need someone (or someones) to
read through the war and make certain that I've gotten the continuity
correct -- as I've had to guess on a lot of posts without times and dates.

Please e-mail me off-list if you're gullible--- I mean, kind enough to
volunteer to help! I'd really appreciate it, as I am sure will all the
brain-fried war vets who are all probably still pretty comatose from the
past two weeks of collaborating, reading, writing, and posting. There were
some pretty complex arcs which ran through this war. (The bar fight alone
lasted almost a day and a half! And hit at least 7 bars! Are there any
bars left standing in Toronto?!)

Well, kudos to all the authors and those who helped them!! There was some
pretty hilarious stuff in this war! And it was a blast!

Again, if you wanna read the war posts for continuity in timing, e-mail me
at callalily@l........

Thanks!

(Posted with the permission of the McLisa.)

During the course of War 11, both the Cousins of the Knight war list and the
leaders' war list suffered from some nasty problems such as missing posts,
posts dropped up to three days' late, and multiple drops of the same post,
which in turn affected everyone's ability to liase with other list members.

Both lists were on what used to be egroups, who provided an excellent
service till they were taken over (and I'm sure most of you know by whom!).
At one point I ended up involved in two simultaneous and near identical
discussions about the problems caused by poor list service....

Then I remembered that my best friend told me some of the lists she was on
had suffered similar problems, and after checking out the alternatives on
offer, they moved. So for those of us suffering problems with current list
providers, check out: www.topica.com

Lesley recommended that when signing up for topica's services, that you do
*not* check most of the boxes, so they won't sign you up for various
advertising services, etc. Once signed up, they send out one notification,
and again you have the option to say 'Don't send my any more such posts',
and after that it's all peace and quiet, and a reliable service.

If nothing else, it may be worth checking out before the list goes to war
again!

Moni:

I'd love to swap, I need "The Fix" to complete my collection.
