Given Nick's sword fight in "Blood Money" I think he'd do quite well in the
fencing competitions. Of course, the mask would hide those beautiful blue
eyes, but fencing attire is *quite* form fitting :-)

Janette could compete quite well in the equestrian events. She would make a
very elegant figure in the dressage ring.

Perhaps LaCroix could compete in Greco-Roman wrestling. He probably had a
lot of training during his childhood in Rome.

An off-topic comment: isn't it interesting how many Olympic events are based
on skills old enough for the FK vampires to have done them as part of their
everyday lives in previous centuries?

This brings a question to mind I've been meaning to ask the Warmistress for
a couple of days...

In the original post, Gwyneth states:

>Independents should play as Diehards

Umm... am I misunderstanding something here? I was under the impression
that Die-Hard is a specific faction of people who didn't want to choose to
support one character (or relationship) over the others, and Independents
are people who want to War, but who don't wish to play with any specific
faction (of which Die-Hards are one).

Gwyneth, is your meaning that Independents (factionless participants) as
such will not be allowed in this War?

Independents should play as DieHards in war XI. The DieHards are meant to be
an all-encompassing group for those that don't want to choose a particular
faction, which is appropriate for independent players.

Factionless participants may only play in the war as DieHards. Those who are
uncomfortable with this, please contact me privately.

Oh how I agree. Come on Everybody lets go run Sony. That should stand them
on their ears. Imagine Video tapes/DVD and other peoples tastes catered
for. I watch a program on a German station that they own somewhere deep
down. Its very popular they have pulled the same stunts. Got rid of the
original in this case FK which was replaced by Angel I think. The German
station they got rid of the original actor and dog (It is a dog program
really) Kommissar Rex for anyone curious he is so popular is Austria and
Germany replaced both with younger now they are going to possibly replace
the actor again not much news about the dog.

Video tapes are difficult I am hopefully getting some from Amazon Germany
someone helped me with the shopping but Rex is being watched in Greece,
Italy, New Zealand and loads of other places.

Typical Sony really. Rex fans are really upset but the same as Forever
Knight are Sony interested I leave the answer to your imagination. Sue.

anyone who may be interested :)

Do you love leather? Do motorcycles get your heart racing? Are
you quite fond of old, abandoned churches, complete with cobwebs,
candles, and dust? Are you too lazy to even answer these questions? If
so, then we've got the faction for you! The Vaqueros/Vaqueras are the
faction dedicated to the one and only Javier Vachon, the former Spanish
conquistador and current 'Slacker Supreme.' If you'd like to play with
a very fun-loving faction (read: mayhem will surely ensue), we'd love to
have you! Contact me for more information :)

Subject: War: How to relate a post to the premise

I'm not the WM nor do I have inside info on this point.

But, I do know that a lot of the best posts over the years have
been saves and rationalizations. That's all relating to the
premise would really be.

In one war I thought I was a cat and behaved like one. This was
because I'd had a whack on the head while sneaking into CERK (I
was an Indpendent at the time) to release the pink rats. I was
using them for a diversion as I tried to get what I thought were
Nat's notes.

Everything else I was in flowed from this. The thread came back
into relationship with the premise when a computer disk I was
batting around turned out to have what might be the notes on it.

Actually they were notes on an attempt to develop a
super-rograine for LC, but my point is that the subplot was
thereby related to the premise.

Here's how it might work in this war. A faction of Commissioner
Vetter fans and a faction of Tracy's Mother's fans (neither
faction really exists) have a street rumble. While being booked
at the precinct, something happens that makes them think they
know the solution to the premise. It may be a red herring or the
WM might decide to use it. But it allows for the rumble and
still relates it to the main war.

Here's an example of something that would not be related. A
faction of Stonetree fans (doesn't exist) shows up at
Stonetree's precinct and spends the entire war telling stories
about scorpions. Then they go home. There's no relationship to
the premise.

As for meeting other fans, believe me, the amount of backstage
coordination required will definitely take meeting and talking
offlist. Trust me! Then you will find that someone's post gives
you an idea, so that will be more meeting.

It'll all work out. I'm sure.

Subject: Fanfic question: Nick's fire

Amidst this war discussion, I hate to ask such a mundane
question, but what sort of fire does Nick have in the loft? Is it one
of artificial logs ingnited by a remote, or does that come from fanfic?

Thanks,
Marel

I believe that it is a gas fireplace with artificial logs (most likely lava
stone) that is ignited by a remote. I seem to remember seeing it from the
show. I hope I helped a little!
