visit with Lawrence of Arabia LaCroix? <g> I need specifics whether it was
dismantled or put in storage or what.

The first name gets mentioned in Night in Question (the amnesia episode).
When Nick IDs the perp on the computer, Reese remembers the shooting
incident with the perp's brother and Tracy's father. I believe Reese
mentions Vetter by his first name then. Even if he doesn't, the perp uses
it when taunting Tracy in the empty lot later in the ep.

Happy hunting!

I saw this building on an FK tour during the weekend of LCA2. {thanks and
waves to Marg} It is a library now.
Has the location of the first season pct been found yet?

Bingo! That's it. Thanks, Stephanie!

Reese says, "The police captain that fired that shot was Captain Richard
Vetter. Now Commissioner Vetter, Tracy's father."

Do you mean within the context of the episode? The last we see of the
Cortical Tomography Apparatus (aka Synaptic Field Damper), it's still
sitting in Nick's living room after Schanke leaves with the doctor.

For the sake and safety of those putting up stories at their sites, I think
it would help all the fanfic archivists *tremendously* if the authors would
put a heading (per Kyer) suggesting catagories the story fits into. That way
the archivist doesn't have to guess or read every single story b4 posting.

In addition add info ie
Vachon / Tracy ; PG13 ; no flashbacks; romance;
or
Nick / Schanke murder mystery; heavy flashback w/ LaCroix;  PG 18 ;
or
Vachon; all flashback romance; Lt. Mary Jane but it's all good fun anyway; R
and
I wouldn't mind seeing info ie as This is the author's first , second or
third story.
It is nice to read newbies even if not your favorite catagory.

And warnings would be nice! ;-)
Warning! Wait, it should be Latin or something ...Caveat!!!

Caveat! In This Story (ITS), Vachon cuts his hair!
Caveat! ITS LaCroix is not in a single scene!
Caveat! ITS Screed gets lucky! Do you really want to see this?
Caveat! ITS Nick wears renaissance bubble pants!
Caveat! ITS we learn that Nat and Sidney have a very special relationship!
Caveat! ITS Tracy runs out of coffee! Hide the assault weapons!
Caveat! ITS Nick and LaCroix vogue!
Caveat! ITS the caddy is sold to the junkyard! (The horror, the horror!)

Or we can all just skip the catagories and stumble upon stories we didn't
know we'd love. For example, one fateful night, my husband told me I'd
really like this TV show. I said, "What's it about?" He said, "It's about
this guy, and he's a homicide detective, and he works the nightshift cause
he's a vampire." And I said, "My gawd, have they no shame?! That is the
*worst* premise for a show I've ever heard!"
So there ya go. Good is good - even if you've read that nat is pregnant plot
twenty times before.

But i f you already *know* what catagory your story falls into, then for
heaven's sake, give the archivists a break and tell them! The sooner your
story gets uploaded, the better for everybody. And just as we don't want to
wear out the L hampsters, let's not place extra burdens on the archivists and
wear them out, either.
