Whilst I'm very glad so many of you obviously enjoyed "Hamlet's Cat's
Soliquoy", I think I should point out that I did not write it - though I'm
very flattered that several listmembers thought I did!

It's been around on the 'Net for the last couple of years, and sadly, like
so much else these days, when it came to me it was minus the name of the
original author. Whoever it was, clearly knows cats and *really* knows
their Shakspearean English!

Which, keeping to the feline Shakspearean theme, means it must be credited
to that well-known author "A Nonny Mouse"....

Dear everyone,

A rough copy of my first attempt at an FK music video can now be found at (I
hope)

http://downloads.members.tripod.com/dulcineah1/NickNat02.WMV

My friend Dulcey and I have been trying like nobody's business to get it up
there, and I think we've finally done it. This is the higher-quality copy,
and it's big--about 10 megs--I hope to post the smaller one soon, but it
just doesn't do justice to the video in my opinion. Anyhow, anyone who wants
to can try it out; I'd be grateful if you could let me know what you think
because I'm working on another one and pointers are always useful. Oh, and a
big thanks to Kristin and Lois for the gracious use of their vidcaps.

Eve.

In that case may I just say--

Aaaaaaauuuuuuuuugh!!!

It's supposed to work! Why won't it work?

Okay, I have a contingency plan. Go to
https://www.angelfire.com/mb/malecandra/fkvideo.html and when you get there,
right click on the "Nick/Nat video" link. Then save it to your computer like
you would any other download ("Save target as..."). I should add that you
will need Windows Media Player or something that can take WMV files to play
this. You will probably also need divine intervention if my luck holds true
to form. :P

If it still doesn't work then I apologize in advance for wasting everyone's
time with my endless displays of computer ineptitude. As I remarked to a
friend recently, I'd be a very boring immortal because I'd spend my
interminable existence trying to master the most basic of tasks. ;)

It was wonderful Eve! :) The higher quality version looks even better!

But, to download you not only have to click the link:
https://www.angelfire.com/mb/malecandra/fkvideo.html

But also after you click "save target as," you need to change .htm to .WMV
and you must have windows media too. Then, it should play fine.

Great Job!

I tried this, Eve, but it doesn't seem to work.

I also tried the link in someone else's post (sorry, forget who, cat is busy
making bread in my lap and helping me type <g>) but no luck there either.

Anyone else got any ideas? I would really like to see this video!!

Thanks :>)

Hi again all!!

With the help from Kristin's post <waves and says **thank you Kristin**> I
was able to download the music video. It took a long while (and Sydney, who
was "missing" for about 30 hours <argh!!> kept helping by pressing keys on
the keyboard while making bread out of my robe <LOL>) to download.......but
boy, was it worth the weight.

Thanks so much, Kristin, and ***OUTSTANDING JOB*** Eve and Dulcey!!

What a wonderful addition to my FK music video files :>)

Forever Yours and wishing all a *great* day,

It worked, LOL! Boy, is that beautiful!!! Thank you, Eve!
God, I love that show... Way too long since I've watched it, but your clip
brings it all back again! Couldn't stop watching it three times in a row,
SO romantic, and the music and lyrics blend in perfectly. Great job!
Any chance you make a little FK page and put your drawings and videos
all together there? Would like to link <g>

Ahm, guys? Defending My Life was a crossover with a movie, so I had
regretfully to remind the author that it couldn't be posted to Fkfic-l. I'm
sure she -- I'm blanking on her name and probably on mine at the moment <wry
smile> -- wouldn't mind sending you a copy of the rest. It may also be
archived on one of the other sites. I'm sure the N&N site was mentioned.

Kyer asked:

I believe that because it was a crossover with a movie that it could not
continue to be posted on fkfic-l, but I did read it on Patty's website (just
can't remember the URL, darn it!). Very good.

>>As to cats being automatically Cousins, I must disagree. My own late,
lamented Duchess the Purring Persian HairBall was a bundle of angst, wailing
away her sorrows at all hours of the night.<<

She was broadcasting her Nightcrawler monologue!

>>On the other hand, Scotty the Vacuum Cleaner On Legs was forever sticking
her cold nose into everybody's business whether they minded or naught. And
woe to them that tried to take what was hers. <snip> Would that still have
qualified her as a Cousin? <eg><<

Sounds like a LaCroixian attitude to me!

I couldn't get it to work either. It downloaded just fine, but it told me
that the file was corrupt, so I went and did it again and still no luck.
Any suggestions? Thanks.

I was only able to get the video to work when I downloaded it from IE. Netscape
wouldn't work which doesn't make make sense. It always said it was corrupt.
