Well, I don't know. But it SEEMS to be picking up a little bit. I thought for
a while that I was the only one that was posting anything! Hehe I've been
writing up a storm for FKFIC-L I still have about 4 or 5 stories to post!
And I'm working on another one! AHHHH!
Then I got people off on the Blood and Doughnuts tangent that keeps popping
up occasionally. :)

I've asked this before, but didn't get a response.

Back on the 17th I sent a check to Dragonslairr Studios for their FK parody
tapes. Twice I have e-mailed them from there site, but so far zilch. No
tapes. No reply.

Does someone out there correspond with the people of Dragonslair?
http://www.dragonsroar.com/parody.htm

I've heard about how good these tapes are. I want to hear them for myself.
But I don't know if they even got my check . : (
If they don't answer (whether or not my check is cashed or not) would
someone who has all the tapes be willing to make me copies?

<sigh> It's called the Holidays.
LaCroix could very well do a monologue on how Christmas saps one of their
energy and good cheer.

Sayeth, Kyer, who is actually asleep right now. This is but an
exhaustion-inspired dream.

I see the points that you have made as very valid. It would be interesting
to delve a little further into it. :) Too bad we can't ask the
writers/creators of the show those questions. However, I believe that Nick's
character appeals to us because of the guilt he feels, the humanity he
displays, and the simple fact that we have all known a 'Nick' in our lives
somewhere.
The romance between Nick and Natalie, and Nick and Janette, and Nick and
the tart of the week...... Things are always interesting. It is a prime-time
soap opera. TPTB created the show to have elements that would attract every
audience. Male and female, young and old. I'll admit, I think that it was
mostly younger women that were interested in the show. However, the cop
element, the violence, that is a masculine thing right there. We all know how
guys are with their cop shows right? :)
But, on the other side of the coin, that masculine quality is one of the
reasons that we all watched it. The passions, anger, violence, romance. This
show had all of the qualities that made a 'hit'. For both men and women.

That, and it's also very near the end of the semester for everyone (at least,
in the US) taking college or high school classes. Can you say final exams &
projects?

I can't wait until break so I can have more time to write fanfic!

Boy, you aren't kidding... I have college finals next week and cannot wait
to get them over with.

I think the list activity will pick up. But only after we all get our
Christmas shopping done.

At the top of my list are Nick and LaCroix, an ample blood supply and
total isolation for the next 10, maybe 100 years.

At 12 noon mountain time, (which is the middle of the night for me, since
my schedule is 12 hours off the norm) my roommate came into my room and
said to me, "Tiff, put on you're professional voice."
As it turns out, it was Lisa Ryder. She called to tell me that she had
seen my page, and that the Unofficial Lisa Ryder Fan Club could be
OFFICIAL.

*happy dance*
::Tiff and Shana get their groove funks on, as Mary just sort of looks at
them funny, tries to join in, realizes she's too tired, and crawls back
into bed:: (We all work nights)

Anyway, as of today, the Lisa Ryder Fan Club is Official. I'll be
updating the page this weekend, to get rid of all those evil little 'un's
floating all over the page.

Subject: Not Sure how to do this...

I'm not sure what the Protocol on this is, so here goes...
Most of you know my sister as KC Smith aka tigrlady. I have some very
bad news.
She tried to commit suicide just the other day. Apparently their
financial status has gone from bad to worse and they face losing not only
their car, but their home, as well (they rent). My brother-in-law is
beside himself, as are my three nieces, who were already devastated that
there would be no Christmas this year (the youngest is seven).
KC is alive and home, but she has to be supervised constantly. The only
thing she really does is sleep, right now and occasionally work on a
story called 'Pipe Dreams'.
I am keeping track of her emails, until she is feeling well enough to
get back to them.
Please keep her and her family in your prayers. This has added yet
another bill and their creditors are being less than cooperative.
If you need to contact me, or have any other questions, please address
them to Shana Dempsey at KC's email, listed below. Also, if you happen
to know of other lists she is on, please pass this on... I am trying to
decipher the letters in her email box to notify everyone, but it is not
as easy as it sounds.
 Best wishes to all...
