Oh my gosh! Nigel in a cowboy hat!
Thanks, Libs!
Any idea as to the plot, yet? ;)

I'm embarrassed to admit I'd been shown bits and pieces of it, in fact I seem
to remember Nigel reading part of it at a con, but it has been so long I
don't remember details! All the better to eagerly await the book!

I want to thank everyone for the kind e-mails I've received off-list about
sharing this. I'll let Pat Elrod know.

For those of you who had doubts - 1) yes, I really know PN (Pat) Elrod and am
a published, professional writer myself (albeit with a day job) - Pat and I
are often guests at the same convention, 2) I'd assume Nigel gave permission
for his image to be used considering he REALLY writes his share of the books
- it isn't a case where Pat is "really" writing the entire thing herself, 3)
the artist is Jamie Murray who is an absolutely wonderful, talented gent
(yes, I really know him as well), 4) as for as I know, the book will first be
published as a hardback, and 5) McLisa, the listmommy, has given me
permission to post info from PN Elrod. I only post things I've been
specifically asked to post by Pat Elrod.

Sorry to have to go on like that... Although I didn't receive any flames, I
did receive some "probing" e-mails. No harm done, though - better safe than
sorry.

It looks to me like the portrait was inspired by the picture you click on to
get into the Black Hat Station web site. Which is fine with me, because
it's a favorite picture of mine.

Cool cover! I gather from the skyline in the pic that this story is placed
in Dallas?! If not, it sure looks alot like the Dallas skyline and "the
ball" known as Reunion Tower near Reunion arena where the Dallas Mavericks
and Dallas Stars play their home games. Also, that big green building looks
like that bank building downtown. I don't know anything about the plot to
this story, but can't wait to read it!

Nick with Nat *and* Janette! Hoo Hoo Hoo..
That sounds like Nick is setting himself up for an Angstfest to end all
Angstfests! What was their first post? Nick on the run from two angry
ex-girlfriends?
Nick knocking on the door to LC's abode: <bang! bang!> "Let me in---take
me back! Please, LaCroix!!!! <sob> I'm too young for the True Death...
