Anyway, it's called something like "The Little Vampire" or something like
that.

But what does this have to do with FK???

One phrase-

The Barn of Red-Eyed Bovines

I'm serious. Someone out there has a SERIOUSLY twisted mind.

It just makes you wonder what has Nicholas been doing?????

How could he do this???

I just thought that he bought it from the local butcher shop; not straight
from the tap.

Believe me, this is some messed up stuff

<sigh>
Cow's blood tastes horrible enough as is without letting it age. Of course
Nicholas drinks it straight from the..er..tap.
Ya see, its a little-known secret of the Squirettes that underneath the
garage of Nick's warehouse is:

THE CAVERN OF THE CONDEMNED BOVINES!!!

Yep.. its true.
Nick regulary attends the Dairy Cow shows looking for suitable Bessie's and
Hortenses to stock his..um... ---well, you know.
We don't like to talk about it. God knows, Light Squirette doesn't like to
rake out the old Field Fresh Cow Litter.
Don't tell Natalie, Okay?

There is another possibility here... It has been suggested in fanfic that
Vachon's birth may not have occurred on the right side of the tracks. His
mother was undoubtably Spanish, and he was raised Spanish, but perhaps his
father was a rich French nobleman? One who never claimed him as his son,
but I wouldn't put it past the boy to take his name anyway <G>. Hmm...
that's worth a story somewhere, isn't it?

OK Kylie! You did it now....

<<THE CAVERN OF THE CONDEMNED BOVINES!!!>>

Your post made me laugh so hard I choked and fell off my chair. My kids came
running out of their rooms to see what happened to dear old mom. Now they
think -- no scratch that -- they KNOW I am nuts.....

<g> Well, Schanke, who was being a very sceptical and
driven detective, did meet Janette at "a bar somewhere,"
and she had him pretty cross-eyed by the end of that
encounter, if I recall correctly.

<ooh, ooh, waving hand madly, for once having an argument
from canon> In OtL, LaCroix is the one to remind Nick that
the feelings one gets from draining a mortal don't come with
names, dates, and social security numbers, as it were. LC would
sense *something,* but he wouldn't get a genuine sense of Nick's
feelings from Nat's blood. In addition, her endorphins and stuff
would be infused from the general "vamp" intoxication she was
feeling at the moment, from LC's presence. That, plus the fact
that they had 44 minutes to fill <g>.

Subject: VHS/DVD petition

I'm running the online petition to get FK released on VHS or DVD. The page
to sign the petition has been down for a while. I've just now gotten it
back up and running and will be updating the site this weekend.

For those who don't know or don't remember, the URL for the petition is:

http://www.fortunecity.com/lavender/casablanca/433/index.html.

I should have a guestbook up and running sometime later today as well.

Thanks, and pass this info on.

Subject: FK pathology questions

I'm leaving for Cincinnati on Sunday to attend the American Society for
Clinical Pathologists workshops. If anyone has any questions they would
like answered for fic concerning hematology, microbiology, blood banking,
etc., I'll have access to experts from around the country to ask during the
week. I'll be back in town the following Friday, if anyone is looking for
me.

Subject: FK Moment

Had a couple of FK moments this week. Our company was hosting a meeting for
some clients down from Canada. The product under discussion was a blood
substitute that could be used during surgery. The project lead was expounding
on all it's benefits and qualities -- one of which was that it had a shelf-life
of over a year, unlike blood, which is much less. Sitting in the back of the
room, manning the video camera, imagine my surprise at myself when the little
thought popped up in the back of my head -- "Yeah, but what does it taste
like??" I hope nobody caught me laughing at myself! "g"

Then the next day, the team was engaging in an ice-breaker and was trying to
guess which team member had written that they had wanted to to grow up to be a
homicide detective! With all of those Canadians in the room, I couldn't help but
think of the Toronto PD....

Sadly, no one said anything about getting a "klew;" I just had to be content
with a few "abowts" and some "find owts." "g"

Portia
who has got to get around to visiting Toronto!

Subject: Virtual Fourth Season

I have to say that I am anxious to read more eps in this season, as well. Just
a short while ago, I was visiting one of the old eps and marveling at how great
the writing and the story was. As anybody will know who has read my work, I'm
not good at long narrative, but I'm very willing to beta or anything else that
will help foster this process!!!

The last I heard, there was one story just about ready for posting, several
more in the alpha/beta reading process. THe hold up right now is RL with the
person who can actually POST the stories.

I'll try to remember to let everyone know when there's a further update.
