Hello,
I tried to open your addy for the .mov and couldn't. Crosswinds kept
bouncing me back to "not found". Did you take the site down for
maintenance or is my server drunk on Ribena again? <G>

I tried it... really tried it and the first question thingie is really
simple (waves to libby-ratsie) and does work
but the second
unless I have a major brain failure and have forgotten all the things I do
know about FK I typed in the correct addy but the connection failed.
Or did you want more than the station name ?? Maybe the wavelength too??
That I didn't try... yet
But if that fails I don't know what to try anymore

I thoroughly enjoyed the pompeii links Libs posted, especially the one that
had an animation of the eruption! took a bit of time to load, but very kewl.
This made me think, naturally, of our favorite pompeiian and general, and the
day he was made, remade that is. He had said that he was saved by being
brought across by Divia that night. But i was wondering how did they actually
escape the volcano and its fatal results? Yes, they could have survived being
buried under ash, but certainly not the burning lava. They most likely, I
would think, would have flown out of the area, but if they were too late, the
ash (or pumice as the site referred to it), may have filled the air so much as
to make that impossible, even for vampires. They may not need to breath, but
they would not likely be able to see. Perhaps they found another way?
Just my thoughts. I'd like to know your thoughts. please do discuss!

This is the URL with animation:

ciao, and happy conversion day! (technically still valid, since the eruption
lasted till the 25th, right?)

Hrm. Well it looks as though maybe our little FK trivia game was just a shade
too confusing. Apologies.

http://members.aol.com/JeanB7/_________.htm is not a viable URL. You're
supposed to fill in the blank (making sure to delete the line and/or spaces)
with the answer to the trivia question. And on the next level, you have to
be sure to delete the JeanB7 domain name from the address line before adding
the new information.

Sorry for the confusion. Hopefully, this will allow more of you who'd like to
play to reach the end of the maze. :-)

I may be mistaken as I'm going on memory here, but I don't think there was a
lot of lava in the Pompeii eruption. There are different sorts of eruptions,
and I believe the one in question consisted of the sort with LOTS of hot ash
and burning, poisonous gases. We know FIRE kills FK vampires (unless you are
much too old and powerful to worry about flaming popsicle sticks gnawed to a
fine, sharp point ... oops, flashback to fan fic, I mean flaming stakes), but
we don't know that intense heat would.

One reason that Pompeii is so well preserved is that the ash buried
everything. There's one Inn that has fairly recently been excuvated that was
so well preserved a wicker type briefcase was found on a sofa/couch outside
one of the room still waiting for its owner to return after all these years.

Divia and LaCroix could have found shelter somewhere in Divia's mother's home
until such a time that they could safely leave. Some buildings did collapse
under the weight of the ash, etc, but I'm sure there were places where a
vampire could hide out safely for a while since the poisonous, burning gasses
might not bother them.

I would LOVE to have seen LaCroix's first feeding frenzy though! hahahaha.

Subject: FK and More on Global 100

Hi!

This is simply a reminder to vote for FK on Global 100. This month it has
dropped to #8 so far. Let's fix that before the final tally is up! We CAN
make it climb!

If you haven't voted for FK please go here to do so:
http://www.global100.com/item.asp?Item=51259

-----------------------------
Voting Tips/Instructions:

To sign up for voting click "I'm a new user." then follow the easy steps to
join...

There are different levels on Global 100 Charts. If you are a Low Level
voter you can select up to 10 points. Normal Level voters can select up to
20 points. "High Level" voters can select up to 30 points. These will
determine how much your votes are worth, so please strive for as much as
possible and be a High Level Voter. They DO track same ISP addresses also,
so don't repeat voting with multiple e-mail addresses. It will only lower
your weight on the chart.

Note: You can increase your level on your Personal Card. This is where you
can store information about yourself. Some of this data is used in the
voting process to improve the quality of the charts. When you're new you
start at the Low level. You can increase your level when your e-mail address
has been verified. The higher your level the more weight your votes have in
the charts. If you answer the questions about your 'gender', 'birthday',
'location' and 'public address', you will get a High level.

THINGS TO KNOW WHEN VOTING:

#1. IMPORTANT: Those of you who are not on "High Levels" please simply
answer your questions on the personal card about gender, birth, etc. It's
very simple and does not take long and it REALLY helps your weight on the
charts! If every one can get up to HIGH level, it can really help FK's
position!

#2. NEW VOTERS: We REALLY need NEW voters who have never voted for FK before
on the chart. Please, if you have not voted before click on the address
above, and then click I'm a New User. Then follow the easy rules to sign up.
We really need you! (and don't forget this chart is sent in to TPTB monthly
with the petitions!)

The DON'Ts::

#1. DON'T repeat with multiple e-mail addresses either! They recognize your
ISP addresses and it will do more damage than good, lowering weight of all
your votes.

#2. DON'T be an Anonymous! Please actually sign up and follow the easy steps
to become a much better HIGH voter.
 -----------------------------

With your help we can make it #1! When ever you guys write your letters to
powers also be sure to attach a copy of this list as proof of FK still being
popular.

Thanks for supporting the Knight!

AND if you like please vote for my website under hompages. I'd be so happy!

Urs is the the beautiful, kind, gentle vampiress in Javier Vachon's unlife
and she was portrayed by Kristen Lehman. You may have seen Kristen in a
number of eps of 'Kung Fu: The Legend Continues' [which I THINK is still on
TNT on weekday afternoons], and she was also a member of the cast for season
3 of 'Poltergeist: The Legacy' which is still being shown on some stations,
including I think 3 nights a week on SciFi around 12 midnight EDT [but her
hair is not curly as in FK, but you'll still be able to recognize her].

There are 2 BEAUTIFUL and GREAT web sites for Urs that also include info
about Kristen: "The Urs FAQ" by Amy R. at
<http://users.lanminds.com/~akr/fk/faq/urs.html> and "Urchin Sympathizers"
at <http://forever.vachon.net/urs/>
---at this web site you will also be able to find out a lot about what other
series, etc, Kristin has done and is doing.

Urs - Related factions are:
1) the Urchin Sympathizers, a.k.a. Urchins, are followers of or friends of
Urs.
2) DarkHearts are those who believe in Urs and Javier Vachon TOGETHER.
3) RoG-- I BELIEVE that stands for 'Roman Goddess'-- are those who believe
in Urs and LaCroix-- from LC's comment in BB when Nick is looking for Vachon
and LC introduces him to this beautiful blond vampiress and LC refers to Urs
as "this innocent goddess".
4) LM = Les Miserables [sorry if spelled wrong] are those who believe in Urs
and Nick.

I don't know if the Urchins have a list, but I do know that there IS a "Dark
Hearts List" at e-Groups/ONEList and there is also some beautiful-- [but not
nearly enough!] Dark Hearts fiction-- you can find it via the "Urchin
Sympathizers" addy above-- you can also find some Vachon stories at 'Forever
Vachon' via that same web site. There is also a Les Miz list and may also be
a RoG list at e-groups-- And I was told by someone on the Les Miz list that
are also some Les Miz stories at Mel's site. There is also "The Crew List"
at e-Groups/ONEList, The Crew referring to Javier Vachon, Urs, Screed, and
Bourbon-- from BB references to 'Vachon's Crew'.

... If anyone knows of any more factions, websites, lists, and FK FanFic
stories with Urs in them --please let us know! :)

I recall seeing some history channel show on Pompeii and they talked about
underground tunnels that lead to the boat harbor where they found lots of
people dead from the lack of oxygen due to the falling ash clouds.

I'm sure LC had plenty to snack on for his first feeding.

According to my husband, yes, there is such a thing as three-dimensional
chess, played on a three-dimensional cube. He says he's played it. The
cube consists of eight eight-by-eight squares, made out of plexiglass.

In addition to the regular chess pieces, there are two additional types
of pieces, jesters and hippogryphs. This is to take advantage of the
more complex moves available with the extra dimension.

My husband says four-dimensional chess is also viable. It doesn't involve
the dimension of time; it involves another theoretical spacial dimension.
In our three-dimensional world, it would be played with eight of the
eight-by-eight-by-eight cubes. My husband says that, theoretically, an
infinite number of dimensions are possible.

I'm not sure if this helps, or if it's more than you ever wanted to
know. <g>
