I love it! People talk every now and then about how smart and educated the
fans of FK are, but that's because FK itself was a high quality, intelligent
show made by some really smart, funny people.

Thanks Lisa and Don :)

Please feel free to send this to any loops/lists, and or people in other
fandoms that are FK fans and want to help in the cause.

This is the most up to date list.please disregard earlier address lists you
might have.
everything listed here all helps in the cause!!

By now you all know that our latest Ad appeared in the March 21st edition of
"The Hollywood Reporter".and KTK has many many more projects planned, one
including another auction, which we are hoping to have in August, and a very
kewl something planned for October :}
However, besides what we do, we need to know that YOU the fans support the
cause. We know that while the show is not on at the moment, it can cause fans
to lose faith, to start to drift to other shows, etc...... we urge you all to
hang in there!!! Kickstart the Knight is ALL of us!! a united, collective
group of devoted fans that will prove to TPTB that we are still here and will
continue to be!
We would like to thank all the fans that attended the Bonnie Hammer chat.Even
though most of you did not get a chance to actually ask questions, you put in
a strong appearence! Hugs to you all!!!

Write for the Knight! (this section is for snail mail writers! (VERY
important to keep doing!)

Let’s redouble our efforts and really let "The Powers That Be" know that we
want more Forever Knight! The main idea is to be honest. Tell them your age,
where you live, how long you've been watching Forever Knight and how much
you'd like to see it back on TV. Do not, however, put anything on the
envelope that might indicate you are a FK fan or are writing about the show.
These letters are often considered "fannish" and you run the risk of being
ignored.Be business-like...explain why you're writing and why you think it
will be profitable to have the show back in production. Tell them what kind
of Forever Knight merchandise you have bought, and what you would like to
buy. BUT TELL THEM YOU WANT MORE FOREVER KNIGHT!

Each month Susan Ellen Field (KTK) will be sending this in to important powers,
such as Bonnie Hammer and Stephen Chao and Mel Harris. If you have already
signed, then

HEY GUYS!!!
Its very important to vote on this. TPTB Do read this chart!

FK's #6 now!! We must have gotten some NEW voters! And/or new
High Level voters! Very good!!

Want to vote to enforce the position? Go here:

http://www.global100.com/vote.asp?Chart=6

THINGS TO KNOW WHEN VOTING:

#1. IMPORTANT: Those of you who are not on "High Levels" please simply
answer your questions on the personal card about gender, birth, etc. It's
very simple and does not take long and it REALLY helps your weight on the
charts! If every one can get up to HIGH level, it can really help FK's
position! If you have questions about this please feel free to ask me by
e-mail (kris1228@s.......).

#2. NEW VOTERS: We REALLY need NEW voters who have never voted for FK before
on the chart. Please, if you have not voted before click on the address
below, and then click I'm a New User. Then follow the easy rules to sign up.
We really need you! (and don't forget this chart is sent in to TPTB monthly
with the petitions!)

The DON'T's::

#1. DON'T repeat with multiple e-mail addresses either! They reconize your
ISP addresses and it will do more damage than good, lowering weight of all
your votes.

#2. DON'T be an Anonymous! Please actually sign up and follow the easy steps
to become a much better HIGH voter.

Well, that's it! Just wanted to tell you all the good news! :)

There is another way to show TPTB how much you would like the FK
returned....

Thought Up By wonderful devoted fans such as yourselves.....

It's called "Operation Postcard Overload" as was told to KtK, "When
we all send letters to Sci-Fi/USA, we get postcards back, so why not send
postcards to them?" Its easy! Postcards are everyplace! How about postcards
representing the places you live? England, Austrailia, Germany, USA, all the
different states......
FK fans are all over the globe! Lets show TPTB that the World wants it
back!!!

Send the cards to:
Bonnie Hammer and Stephen Chao and Mel Harris (addresses above)
..............................................................................
............................................
******IMPORTANT E-mail #'s to help the cause!*******

(Just for the record) these websites are not to be confused with any of the
"Vote for your favorite this or that, these sites are very important to the
cause!)

Write everyone! E-mail's a quick, easy way! Spend that hour, you'd normally
be watching FK writing a letter(s) to Sci-fi at this address:

feedback@w.......

Why don't we make this a daily thing? Every day when Forever Knight should
be on at its time slot we e-mail Sci-fi about putting it back. Just a
thought, but if we ALL do it, it may just help get them to notice us,
especially if they start getting tons of e-mail at that hour.
..............................................................................
..............................................................
*Important* to continue!

Please do not just trash this thinking <oh, this is just another attempt
that will
fail>. We have to try and not give up. Giving up will not do anything for us
and our Forever Knight.

This is your chance to act for Forever Knight on SCIFI! AND also ask for new
things regarding the Knight. Anything you want FK related!
As you all know, for the past couple of months we have been having feedback
*Blitz's
We fully intend to keep them going and are planning another one for July.We
all want "Forever Knight" back on that fall schedule, so everyone that can
participate in these, please do.
And not just during blitz times, but once a day if you can, let's keep
Sci-fi's attention!!!
Storm their Feedback mechanism with requests!***

SCI-FI's E-mail: feedback@w.......

Subject: FOREVER KNIGHT
(if they recive LOTS of these with the same title might is get some
attention??)
And of course type your message. You can make it as simple as "Bring Back
Forever Knight to your schedule" Or more complex asking for all you desire
in the Knight.
As you as you finish reading this e-mail Sci-fi right away before you
forget. And save a copy of your letter too.
sending in LOTS of mails to Sci-fi, so save
your message incase you don't wish to write another.
Are we going to sit back and allow TPTB take our show away? or are we all
going to band together and show them that not only haven't we gone anyplace,
we are increasing in number!!

*Important*= We have to let Bonnie Hammer know that "Ultra Violet" the new
Vampire series coming to Sci-fi will in no way shape or form be any kind of
substitute for "Forever Knight".
When you write, E-mail, etc, please be sure to make it clear that we will not
be satisfied with just any Vampire series! "Forever Knight is the one we
want!!!
Let her know that Letters/E-mails from fans DO count!! We are the audience!!
We are The ones that make Sci-fi channel remain on, We do not write/email for
fun, we do it because we have opinions, because we want to be heard!

One way to get some attention is to hit
the Sci-fi Channel Bboard with posts about how much we want FK back with new
eps or movies AND how much we want it back on the schedule! We can post new
messages, even sign a post there like we did with post 1000. One note however
is that new posts are
saved alphabetically on that board so a new original post to the board will
not appear exactly at the bottom of the last page
PLEASE EVERYONE SIGN! And also spread the word to other lists or newsgroups,
just let everyone know! The Knight must continue, along with NEW episodes!!
a brand new post has started a couple of weeks ago, by Kristin,(our newest
Ktk member.)we have not had a very good response, which may lead TPTB to think
they are winning and we are slowly losing interest and going away!We really
have to show them this is not true! Please take some time while online to go
over and write a little message ,every one of you count!!! ask for the return
of Forever Knight. We ALL would like to see it back wouldn't we? Feel free
to e-mail Sci-fi while
The NEW post can be found here:

A couple of days ago, I had an odd thought about how
hard it can be to find some certain FK sites and
wouldn't it be great if there was a place where people
could go to for links to all of the FK related sites
of members of the Forever Knight List?

Basically, I'd like to give a shot to setting up a
Forever Knight page on my Geocities page with links to
every other FK site- be they personal, archive, or
even the faction sites.

First and foremost, does anyone have any real problems
with me doing this? The format that I was thinking on
using would be:

 Page Name- the url (linked)
FK fan's name and alias (or site Master/Mistress's name)
if it has Images, Sounds, Fiction, or all of the above
  Member of factions (maybe)

Any suggestions, comments, thoughts, or general
ramblings greatly appreciated. Link lists are even
more appreciated. :-)

Thanks,
 Juan

The one I show around that always seems to hook new fans is FEVER. It is such
a touching episode.

Of course I sometimes keep in mind the person's likes and dislikes. A MORE
PERMANENT HELL is another good one. For someone who "reads Anne Rice" or is
a big vampire genre reader, STRANGER THAN FICTION.

Hi Everybody,
I saw something amusing this weekend. I work for an insurance
company. I was going thru the files for a particular family and realized
that they must be major FK fans. They had 4 children born between
1993 and earlier this year. The children's names were Nicholas,
Natalie, Lucien and Sydney.
All I can say is WOW!

Only the Lonely gives what is our first glimpse of Nick with Natalie.
Black Buddah introduces Vachon and Tracy.
It kinda depends on which character she's most likely to attach to.

I love this idea!
So many links are just scattered everywhere, and so many are broken...

It would be nice to have them all together in one place where we could 'keep
an eye on them' so to speak.

Speaking of which, Mel? Are you out there and are you okay? Guys, I
haven't heard from her since the Fic Award nominations, nor has anything new
happened on the site. I'm figuring its Real Life, but I'm sure I'm not the

I believe someone on this list checked out the www.foreverknight.com site and
that they confirmed that it is owned by Sony. I think the speculation was
that it was intended to be part of the online interactive FK story that Sony
was supposed to be putting up a long time ago and dropped. I guess it's just
another example of Sony letting a good idea go to waste!

There's a clue in the beginning of the text 'MIME'. I saved the file as
fun.mim (this is the extension for a 'mime' file) and then used a decoder
which AOL has to decode the picture - a cartoon strip. The decoder didn't
come with AOL - I had to look for it and then download it. Check with your
service provider and/or on the internet. It's a very simple program and there
is probably a generic version out there.

Hi all.......

Emily said (about what Simone's "Something Funny" Post <waves at Simone>:Okay
I must be really out of practice on my German, but the picture does speak a
thousand words. Just curious as to what it says. English translation,
please? Emily M. Hanson I'd just like a description of what was sent.<

I know how to say "wake up" and about 3 other things in German <G> and the
above for me would be true too...**except** like Kyer said:

<<When I got her post, the message was just the sender's name, addy, and a
bunch of gobbedly-gook symbols.>>

<Waves madly at Kyer> Ack, me too! I thought maybe my computer had gone nuts
on me!

<<Am I the only one whose mail has been taken over by Venusian editors?>>

Nope. Kyer <g> seems to have spread to California too.....sure would like to
know that the original funny thing was from Simone!

so - any suggestions? The one I show around that always seems to hook new
fans is FEVER. It is such a touching episode.>>

I nicked Libs' <waving some some {g}> answer to borrow the original question>.

The first one I ever saw was "Be my Valentine," (agrree that C & C is real
good "hook" ep, BTW <g>) and it remains one of me favorites to this day! I
think "Fever" is a great idea, and, Vachon being among my favorite has some
wonderful scenes in that.....though we do lose our Beloved Screed <aves at
Libs some more <g>).

I must go along with (so sorry, forget who said it<hangs head in shame>) with
"Only the Lonely" being a great intro-type episode. On "A More Permanent
Hell," not sure I'd want to see that as an introduction, though it sure is
**great.**

So I guess I'd go something like this:

Season One: "Only the Lonely" and "Dying for Fame" (<--just to see Nick do
that great little spin he does toward the end <g> if nothing else!

Season Two: "Be My Valentine" and **absolutely** "Stranger Than Fiction!
(IMHO, only, of course), and even "Close Call." Love that one :)

Season Three: "My Boyfriend is a Vampire" and "Fever."

That's what I'd show someone I was trying to "convert," <g> I think.
'Course, I'd want them to see "Nick Knight" *and* "Dark Knight" Parts One and
Two for background and expositional purposes........

I remain one of those weirdos who *likes* :::::::::immediateky ducking and
running for cover, searching for flame retardant clothing <LOL:::::::::::
"Last Knight," and sees all sorts of possibilities for interpreting the
ending......but that woulnd't do as an introductory episode, **Nuh'Uh** <g>.

Hope you all have a great day!

Finale worked out......and who is slowly trying to make it though her email
here <g>)

Subject: Admin: Forkni-l rules

Here are the rules for Forkni-l. Please read through them.

For information on managing your subscription and on listserv commands,
please see Don Fasig's page
http://www.geocities.com/Athens/7139/fk-lists.htm

1. No flames on list. FLAMERS MAY BE SET NOPOST. THE NOPOST MAY BE
PERMANENT.

2. Please don't quote more than four lines of a previous post
in replying. If you have more than one point to answer, then you may quote
the relevant four lines for that point also.

3. Limit sigs to 6 lines. This includes all information, decoration
quotations and blank lines. Your name and address count as part of
the six. If you sign your name on a separate line above the body of
text, your name and the blank line or lines between count as part of
the six line limit. If you have one of those services that insists
on putting an advertising tag on the end of posts, don't worry. I
realize you can't control that and it doesn't count as part of your
sig.

4. Please don't send to the whole list when you are only talking to the
person who wrote the post you are answering.

5. Advertising on list is on a case by case basis. Please consult the
listowners, Lisa McDavid, mclisa@m....... or Don Fasig,
phase3@g....... for permission.

6. This list is for the discussion of Forever Knight. Cast, crew, staff
and producers in connection with what they're doing now or have done in
the past are ok. Vampires in general are _NOT_ ok except in relation
to Forever Knight.

7. Off-topic posts are not allowed, no matter what they are about or
how urgent the warning may appear. If you have an off-topic post which
you think should appear on the list, ask one of the owners for permission.

8. The private lives of the cast are not a discussion topic. Occasionally
one of the fan club presidents will make an announcement, but other than
that, we leave the cast their privacy.

9. Con announcements must come from con officials or a designated
liaison and must be kept brief. Cons are only announced on list if there
is a connection to FK.

10. Only fan club presidents or other designated spokespeople may
make announcements of future projects for FK cast, crew and staff,
before said projects have been released or written about in the
media.

11. No role-playing on Forkni-l. This includes no character names as
pseudonyms or posing as a character.

12. Each subscriber is limited to five posts per day on Forkni-l.

I'll be happy to explain the reason for any of the above if asked.

Thanks!

Subject: Highlander ep #25 w/ GWD

Recently, someone mentioned that the name of Michael Barn's
girlfriend, Jeanette, was a reference to Janette of FK. Does
anyone out there know if the wedding scene, in which a beautiful
bride changes into an elderly resident of a mental hospital, was
meant to be an inside joke involving _Terror Strikes the Class
Reunion_? I'm pretty sure the bride is played by Kate Nelligan,
who was the woman GWD's character kidnapped in that movie.
