At Camping World I ran into this product that is supposed to repel mosquitos
by emitting the sound of that little critters mortal enemy: the dragonfly.
You wear it like a wristwatch.

Now I'm wondering...
Would it be possible to make a vampire repellent using the same theory?
What does a vampire fear most, and would different deterrents be needed for
different vamps?

Wish to travel the night scenes of Toronto without
having to worry about contracting ugly hickies?
Just set the emitter to one of these ultrasonic sounds!
Do to the different species of bloodsuckers, we have
scientifically chosen a variety for specific occasions
and locales to better suit your needs.

2. Sound of Protein Shake Blender
3. Sound of Garlic Souvlanki Vending Truck
4. Sound of Growling Enforcers
5. Sound of Angsting Childe
6. Sound of Lecturing Monologue
7. Sound of Unintelligible Carouche

I've been using this argument to TPTB everytime I write to them for the past
two years. I also incl other shows like Sabrina, Charmed, The Others, etc.
I keep saying that there is already a large fandom out here for FK so why not
bring the show back and cash in.

Which is most likely why Angel has such limited powers. Never saw him
whammie or really fly yet. Only large jumps. He could never hold a candle
to FK.
I do admit I watch the show out of shear desperation.

No one has pointed out that Angel and Buffy go after mainly Demons. While
Nick went after some Real Life [murderers, cooks, kidnappers etc] bad guys.
Fk was is and was a realistic show. Angel and Buffy are more entertainment
than true to life.
So Angel and Buffy will never hold up to FK. They're just entertaining.

Cooks? That brings some interesting images to mind.

Nick bursts through a door, gun held at the ready.
"Metro police! Drop the spatula and step away from the stove!"

If they made souvlaki, Schanke would be rendered helpless. :)

Subject: Quick Question

Okay, I have lost all my marbles! <some of them round ones, too!> I
*know* this has been mentioned before, but when did Vesuvius erupt, and
how old do we think that the General was when it happened? I would also
like if anyone has any speculation about how long LaCroix served in the
army, and how long it took him to be General. I need this for a fic.

Thanks,
Bubbles

Heya all!

Yep, that lovely subject line is indeed true!

My fav online magazine has indeed mentioned our favorite ratcatcher, and,
as everyone discussing the similarities between FK and Angel will note,
there are some more comparisons drawn :)

Anyway, here's the link:
http://www.the11thhour.com/archives/062000/features/hiddendepths1.html

The Screed mention is at the end of the first page of the article...

And this has nothing to do with me knowing the gal who wrote the article,
really <eg>
