Maybe its the thought of Schanke and the others calling him 'Perky'. <g> > <<For all those Nat-haters out there, what if Roger Jamison had killed her? > This is before Nick and Nat got real close, so what would Nick have done? What if Nick was partial to 30-something Internet Potatoes who spent mega hours in from of the monitor surfing fanfic sites? <g> > Suppose Alexandra had killed Nick. What would Nat do > then? And would LaCroix go after Alexandra, <snipped> Well, *Kyer* would be crying buckets. And if LaCroix *didn't* go after Alexandra, then Kyer would unleash all of her Personalities on LC until he went nuts. Eventually, Alexandra would be a little pile of ashes. ;)= Kyer, kyer@p....... ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 21 May 2000 17:31:54 +0000 From: Kristin <kris1228@s.......> Subject: The Triple TPTB Blitz Day 7! Something inside, maybe Nat's voice. And if they were close enough for the Green-Eyed Monster, then maybe, given an NNP slant and the information we learned in Season Three... Nick would've regained his mortality. *THEN* what would have happened with the show? Would Janette have let Nick go, or would she have tried to bring him back across? Would the Enforcers have tracked him down? Would Lacroix come back out of hiding and done something -- anything -- unspeakable to the Golden Boy? Brenda F. Subject: an fk moment I was watching Gladiator on Saturday when the emperor's daughter said her son's name was Lucius. I smiled to myself. Alas the boy was brunette which would fit in with second season LaCroix. Yea if you think first season was either laCroix trying out the punk and Bleach look for about 800 years give or take a few times when he let it go back to its regular color. BTW the boy said he was named after his father. Made me wonder that if this was FK related then it would be a good background for LaCroix. But alas it isn't but its good to see a story about Rome in its bloody glory and not. And the fact that the boy's name was Lucius make me keep having FK musings all throughout the movie. Well to those who haven't seen it do. Until next time this is Nita V Signing off!* ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 21 May 2000 12:43:29 -0600 From: Cindy Wambeam <cwambeam@n.......> Subject: timeline of show, lists, campaigns? Hello everyone -- I usually lurk on this list (back in the early days I actually participated much more), but I need some help putting together a timeline of events. Background first: As some of you (who I've corresponded with privately) know, I'm writing my dissertation on fan communities and their writing. Much of what I'm writing about has to do with Forever Knight and the fiction/critiques/campaigns that have taken place in fan's writing. Let me say up front -- I am not cricizing your writing or doing literary examinations of your fiction. I am simply using Forever Knight as an example of how fans can make a difference, and how important their writing is to the success of a fictional world. In a few places I am quoting some writing, and I've asked permission from those writers to do so. I just don't want you all thinking that I've been lurking here, watching you and taking notes on things you write. :> That said: I'm close to finishing things up, and one piece of information that I really need to tighten is a "timeline" -- not of the FK universe, but of the show and the development of some of the various lists and when FK fans started turning up at cons. Before I put this together from my own notes, memories, odd bits of email...I'm wondering if this has already been compiled. Is there any sort of timeline on a website? Has anyone else put this information together? If not, would you all mind if I begin to take a crack at it -- I'll post what I know, and leave some blank spots that hopefully you can help with. I have only seen season 1, because the FK-show was canceled on our TV-network after the first 2-3 months. So, at least some episodes from that season would be nice to see for refreshing my memories. I am living in Europe (in Finland) and I believe the format which I can see is VHS Pal. Please tell me that you have and how much you want for it? Thanks Juha Tuomala jatuli@m....... ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 22 May 2000 11:11:02 -0400 From: mclisa@m....... Subject: Admin: Forkni-l rules & Asking about tapes Just a comment, which is a reminder that selling FK tapes is a breach of copyright and, if the copyright owner wanted to, could get us shut down. It's fine to ask for tapes and fine to offer them, but it's not fine to ask for more than the cost of the tapes for dubbing and the postage. Thanks -- just trying to keep us legal. :) ---- For information on managing your subscription and on listserv commands, please see Don Fasig's page http://www.geocities.com/Athens/7139/fk-lists.htm 1. No flames on list. FLAMERS MAY BE SET NOPOST. THE NOPOST MAY BE PERMANENT. 2. Please don't quote more than four lines of a previous post in replying. If you have more than one point to answer, then you may quote the relevant four lines for that point also. 3. Limit sigs to 6 lines. This includes all information, decoration quotations and blank lines. Your name and address count as part of the six. If you sign your name on a separate line above the body of text, your name and the blank line or lines between count as part of the six line limit. If you have one of those services that insists on putting an advertising tag on the end of posts, don't worry. I realize you can't control that and it doesn't count as part of your sig. 4. Please don't send to the whole list when you are only talking to the person who wrote the post you are answering. 5. Advertising on list is on a case by case basis. Please consult the listowners, Lisa McDavid, mclisa@m....... or Don Fasig, phase3@g....... for permission. 6. This list is for the discussion of Forever Knight. Cast, crew, staff and producers in connection with what they're doing now or have done in the past are ok. Vampires in general are _NOT_ ok except in relation to Forever Knight. 7. Off-topic posts are not allowed, no matter what they are about or how urgent the warning may appear. If you have an off-topic post which you think should appear on the list, ask one of the owners for permission. 8. The private lives of the cast are not a discussion topic. Occasionally one of the fan club presidents will make an announcement, but other than that, we leave the cast their privacy. 9. Con announcements must come from con officials or a designated liaison and must be kept brief. Cons are only announced on list if there is a connection to FK. 10. Only fan club presidents or other designated spokespeople may make announcements of future projects for FK cast, crew and staff, before said projects have been released or written about in the media. 11. No role-playing on Forkni-l. This includes no character names as pseudonyms or posing as a character. 12. Each subscriber is limited to five posts per day on Forkni-l. I'll be happy to explain the reason for any of the above if asked. Thanks! Cousin McLisa (Lisa McDavid) "That will be Trouble." mclisa@m.......
