Subject: FK invades Disney

My daughter Jodi couldn't wait until I came home to tell me about her FK
moment.

She was watching "Smart Guy" on the Disney Channel (she is ten) when the two
young stars (Moe & Marcus) ran off to work at a radio station. Their parents
had said no because the job was from 1 A.M. until 5 A.M on school nights.
One of the boy's fathers found out and went to the radio station after them.
The father (Floyd) angrily sent the boys to the car. As he was leaving, he
saw that the 'On the Air' light was lit up. Floyd looked around and when he
didn't see anyone else, he slipped into the sound booth and said - in his
best LaCroix imitation (may not be exact words): "This is the
Nightcrawler...best friend of Nick Knight"

Next time it comes on, we're taping it!!

Ha! That's so neat!! Tell me when it comes back on so I can see too!! That's
just too funny! A Disney character pretending to be Lacroix! I wish I
could've seen it!

Thanks for sharing that!

Thanks for the kind words, those who left comments on my guestbook, but I
doubt I'll ever get back in to work in the thing!

1. The website is 99.9% of the time down or too busy when I can get on.
2. When I do get on 90% of the time it freezes up my computer and I have to
do the scan disk dance/reboot manuever. <sigh>

So the situation is now..
"I have time to attempt to get on. Do I want to try to get on or actually
get something done? Do I want to have to cuddle a majorly pissed off
computer afterwards if I get on? Would it actually be less painful to eat
Mom's disastrous lemon pudding while doing my own root canal then to
navigate Homstead?

It's kinda like Nick debating whether to drink that protein shake 'like a
good boy' or start *that* diet **tommorrow**! <g>

Yes! Please!! And send it to someone who can put it on their website as a
video! I don't get cable tv, but I would really like to see this. Has any
other show ever done something like this about FK?

Subject: The new LCA list at egroups

I have been asked to clarify just exactly what the FKLCA3 list is all about.
This is NOT the official discussion list for the auction. This is a
completely unofficial discussion list for Forever Knight fans only that are
attending the auction. The reason I created the list, besides how well it
went over last year, is so we, as FK fans, have a place to discuss our plans
for the auction. Such as roommate arrangements, setting up FK Toronto tours,
making meeting place arrangements (i.e. "the bar" <VBG>), etc... The main
difference between the FKLCA3 list and the official discussion list for the
auction is that this list is for FK only. The official discussion list is
for everyone attending, as in LFN fans, Kung Fu the Legend Continues fans,
etc... This way we have our own little list to call home.

Subject: Top of the Food Chain... discussion?

On the surface, "Top of the Food Chain" got mixed reviews from the group of
us that went to see it Saturday evening.

Perhaps more interesting, in a YKYBWTMFK mode, was that "Food Chain" was
preceded by a 1981 short film presented as "Summer in Greenland"... of
which the first screen was the title, "The Three Worlds of Nick". You can
imagine the ten of us giggling at that. Even more YKYB-ish, *that* Nick
(played by John Paizs, the same guy who directed "Food Chain") is just as
aloof and angsty as our "own" Nick Knight. ("Angst, Nick, angst!") OTOH,
the setting was a "World of Tomorrow"-ish suburban town filled with
superficial young women and testosterone-overflowing men...

Coming back to "Food Chain", though... after thinking about what we saw, my
mind has gone into "lit-crit" mode, and I'm interested in discussing the
film in the "symbology, motifs, and underlying meanings" manner. Forming an
e-groups list to discuss the film is a relatively simple matter -- but
before I do, is there anyone else interested in such a discussion?

Please respond off-list.

Yes! This would be a wonderful clip to have. I get cable, but the Disney
channel only gets used when the nieces and nephews are here for a weekend.
