I can *almost* see LaCroix or Janette teasing Nick by putting his particular
'brand' of bloodwine in such a fridge in the back of the Raven bar. Okay..
I *can* see one of them doing this. But they would have to be pretty
snockered.

Oh, I love it! I can see LaCroix buying it for him, and having it installed

I think there have been several fics that a couple of the characters stuck
in cabins.
But I can't see the vampires fighting over a moth-eaten blanket even if they
could feel the cold. Janette and/or LaCroix would probably *kill* us if we
had them wrapping themselves in such a thing!<g> (Okay... Screed would
probably want it.)
You'd have to use mortal characters unless you changed the blankie to
something else... say, the only flask of blood around. Or change the
blanket anyway and have Schanke, Natalie, Grace, Tracy all eyeing the one
and only cup of hot caffeine in the morning.

Oh, and welcome to the List, Abra! (<grumble> even iffen youse is another
one of those 'General'ly whammied ones.)

The thing that strikes me whenever I see those first two episodes is how
hard they tried to make LaCroix look like Roy Batty(Rutger Hauer) in Blade
Runner. The clothing, the stance and certainly the hair. I can only wonder
what we all would have done had they seen fit to costume NB in a pair of
those nice bicycle shorts!

Subject: Tech Question/"Regret to Inform"

1. Does anyone know how to get word wrap or otherwize alter
outlook express so that it will not end up breaking my lines in weird places
This is driving me crazy when posting fanfic because I have to mail every
chapter to myself two and three times and go through line by line
reorganizing the line breaks pasting it into a new email message to myself
and even then don't always get it right.

I used to have word wrap on eudora light before the ISP made me switch,
does anyone have a solution I really really need one.

2. OT: If you have PBS you might want to watch the documentary
"Regret to Inform" tonight it was created by a member of my
extended family and was nominated as best documentary this previous
year. If anyone is interested I have a taped radio interview with the
creator of the film as well. It is supposed to be on 9:30 central I
believe.
If anyone wishes to talk about the film I will be happy to do so off list.

The documentary revolves around the widows on both sides of the
vietnam war. Barbara Sonebor(sp?) who created the movie became
was married to my father's first cousin Jeff Gervitz, the purple heart
came home with his body, along with the dread words we "Regret to Inform"

Subject: Looking for a Story Posted to FKFIC-L

Can anyone help with tracking down the title, author, and location (if
it's posted at a fanfic site) of a Nick & Nat story posted to FKFIC-L a
year or two ago that dealt with Nick's attempts to convince Natalie to
come to him after he leaves Toronto (without LaCroix)? From what I can
remember, Nick has plane tickets delivered to her on several occasions,
which she destroys, then she finally accepts one; the trip includes a
couple of detours, then she finally reaches San Francisco (?) and when
Nick comes to her hotel room, she discovers that he is mortal. The
story ends with LaCroix viewing a picture of Nick and Nat sitting in a
park in the daylight...(I think); my feeble memory scrambled the
details.

Anyone remember this one?? Thanks...

Hmmmmm...... sounds kinda interesting but...... most of the FK
characters are dead.... or UNdead......and the cold wouldn't bother
them, they wouldn't be in any danger of freezing to death, and they
probably could just fly out any time they wanted no matter how bad the
storm....I don't know, has that ever been addressed? Can vampires fly
ok in blizzards?

Ok, ok, so Natalie, Tracy, or Schanke could find themselves in pretty
deep doodoo, and of course whatever Vamp has currently proclaimed
themselves protector and guardian might be hard pressed to keep them
safe and well.......But what vampire can't do just about anything he/she
wants to?

So whaddaya think? Can they fly in bitter cold blizzards and how long
can they go without blood if their blood supply is frozen in this cabin
with no heat......and if they're trying to rescue/ protect a mortal, doesn't
this put that mortal in danger?

Yah, but drafty, old one room things with literally next to nothing in them,

Heeheehee...^_^ That'd be hilarious!! ::thinks:: Yah, you could change stuff
around a bit, and it'd probably still count. You don't even have to use the
blanket, it just has to be there. ^^;;

This is an excellent story by Sue Clark, "In the End." You can find it
on Sue's page at:

or on Mel's page (www.fkfanfic.com) under the author listing.
