(Tears running down face, LOL!!) Oh,man what a scream!! This is really
funny now that I think of it. With four kids I definitely watched Bonkers on
the Disney Channel...oh man, Amy, I haven't laughed this hard in a
while....it works, it really works!!

Now I'll have to start watching it again to see if there are any eps we
could mirror w/FK eps!! (still LOL)

Actually, what I was thinking of, was giving a bumper sticker free to people
who write to the P.O. Box, along with whatever introductory letter people
get. Some people wouldn't use the bumper sticker, but some people would.
But if it's not possible, for either monetary reasons or copyright
reasons, then it's not possible. Think Tri-Star might let us do it for
the free publicity they'd get? No? Oh, well.

This has been shown numerous times on HBO. As usual, Nigel is
EXCELLENT!!!!!! He plays an advisor to the chief villain in the movie.

Subject: War: Questing for a leader and questions

YES, I want to participate in the war. I'm a Die-Hard. I have read the
first 4 wars, took part in War 5 (as a Die-Hard), and in the first HLFIC-L
War/Gathering (as a Methos FW and as the official timeline keeper).
So who is willing to be our leader? I know Dawn said she did not want to
be a leader this time, and has been looking to join some other faction
anyway (ah, I am remembering correctly, aren't I? Grad school has done
awful things to my memory).
(Hey Dawn, if you have decided which faction to join, can we have the
official change take place during the war like we did for the woman who
decided she was a knightie during War 5 ["...and she fell on her
chain-mailed butt..." <g>]?)

Lana Soward are you willing to take over the leadership role by yourself
(you were co-leader in war 5....)?

Actually, It would be nice if all the faction leaders would post to the
list, so the plotting can begin. Or post if you would even consider being
a leader of a faction, someone has to, why not you? (though it would
probably be better if all the leaders had taken part in, or at least read,
some of the previous FKFIC-L wars.)

WarMistress (whoever you are): When does the war start?

How are we going to deal with AtA and LK? I personally vote to ignore
them, after all we all ready have the show established in the War universe
as somewhat separate from the "real" people the show mirrors. Maybe the
enforcers decided FK was hitting a little to close to the mark, and they
made the show shut down.

What is a War, you ask? It is basically a round-Robin style story that
takes place on FKFIC-L. You join the members of your faction (ie, lots of
private e-mail loops are set up to plan and plot), and AS YOURSELF,
interact with the characters of FK in a virtual world. Somehow the members
of the FK lists are the only ones who notice the amazing similarities
between the characters on a television show and several Toronto residents
<g>.

You can find out more about the Wars at:
     http://members.aol.com/Lizbetann/warinfo.txt --this site contains
explanations of the wars, how they started, and some basic guidelines for
participation.
     http://www-scf.usc.edu/albrecht/war.html --War 4 (complete)
     http://www-personal.umich.edu/~weyrbrat/war.html -- War5 (part of it
only)

Wars 1-4 can be found (once it is fixed) at the ftp site.
(ftp://ftp.cac.psu.edu/pub/people/lms5/)

and 1 of the early wars was accidently posted to the list not too long ago.

Hmmm.... as long as we didn't use any 'official' Sony/TriStar copyrighted
stuff, we *could*. But then the question is:

1) can we afford to have a large quantity of these printed up? The Pegasus
ones were $2/ea or 3/$5, retail.

and perhaps more importantly

2)Do we *want* to undermine the market for professional FK bumperstickers (like
the nice folk at Pegagus sell) and other merchandise by *giving* it away?

Or would it be better to include a notice on "where you can find FK merchandise,
and how to ask for more" in the packets (Lana, I bet you're already doing this,
aren't you? :)

Don't get me wrong, I'm not trying to squish anybody's creativity and ideas,
but we want to do what's most effective, and not run in circles re-doing things
(like Karen Tobin's sponsor list) that were done right the first time! :)

Keep those ideas coming! Us old war-horses need a few yearlings kicking around
the pasture to make us feel young again! ;>

> Think Tri-Star might let us do it for the free publicity they'd get? No?

Ummm.... would *you* let someone who publicly embarrassed you in front of all
your peers (and that's essentially what we did at NATPE) borrow something of
yours so they could *continue* to embarrass you with it?

Didn't think so.

If anyone out there has the website for Pegasus Publishing, could they private
e-mail it to me? I'm regretting not picking up a few things at MWC while I had

No. I haven't contacted them officially or changed my .sig yet. :)

So basically, the Die-Hard affiliation is open for whoever wants to lead
it. Lana Soward is also deciding which faction to join. Ronni (Ron the
Enforcer) has expressed interest if no one else can.

In the next War, I plan on having a <lot> of fun w/o having the worry of
being a faction leader (very happy smile).

ObNWFK (Obligatory Non-War FK mention -- can I coin a new term?):

I flipped through my second seasons eps today, to see which ones had
closed captioning. It's been <way> too long since I watched them! <g>

Ummm... exactly who is going to pay for these "free" bumper stickers?

This kind of thing can get very expensive. Even at $1 a piece (and I have a
feeling that the actual cost will be much higher), these "free" bumper
stickers will easily end up costing several hundred dollars.

I've donated money in the past to help re-pay Laurie CF for the NATPE bags
and the EM ad, and don't mind doing it again. However, I would prefer to
spend my hard-earned and scant dollars on something more immediately useful.

Subject: CERK Shirts Update

Hi Everyone,

I have been receiving alot of questions about the CERK shirts. The biggest
one being, "What is CERK?" CERK are the station call letters of the
Nightcrawlers' radio show.

The other big question is "What will the shirts look like?" They will look
exactly like the bumper sticker. Ok, I can see the next question
coming..."What does the bumper sticker look like?" A photo of the bumper
sticker can be found at:

     http://www.eden.com/~gebbie/merch.html

I've received more information from Ron, the woman the orders will be going
to, and here it is:

     T's up to size XL = $15
     T's of 2XL and over are $18
Sweatshirts only come in XL where I go and they are $22

(For those of you who I've already given prices to, you will see that there
has been a change in the 2XL price.)

Prices include shipping and all state taxes. YES< there ARE taxes on
stuff like T's when you have them made up at a commercial place. In
NJ, clothing per se has no tax but they are talking normal stuff you
buy in the department store, not stuff you have custom made or that
are considered "entertainment" items. NJ state loophole...

Anyway, all proceeds go to pay for the shirts, the guy at the
silkscreen place who puts my designs on them, the folks at Staples who
supply the mailing envelopes and the US Postal Service. That's it!

Once I get 25 CONFIRMED orders with SIZES and all that, it'll be about
2 weeks because I have to (1) get the shirts made and (2) mail them!
They aren't letters, it can take a week or so for them to make it to
the person. Also, Since i have to PAY for them UP FRONT, I'd like for
some of these verbal orders to be followed up with $. I won't mail
any shirts to anyone who hasn't paid for them.

Payment for shirts is check made out to me, Ron Katz, or money orders.
Mail to PO BOX 84 FRANKLIN PARK, NJ 08823-0084

The latest version of my T's (the ones that got sold out) ARE
exactly like the bumper stickers! They have the CERK logo on the
front and on the BACK say "Nightwatch with the Nightcrawler" just like
you see on the bumper sticker (it's even in the FK font too!)

There *are* Raven shirts out there. I heard they were there at Media
West Con. The design is licensed so fans CAN'T make them (trust me -
I found this out last year the hard way) so they only thing you can do
is go to media cons and hope that there are vendors there selling the
     FK official versions.

I also have FK fanzines. They made their debut at MediaWest 1995 and
it is a Nick/LC/enforcers story. I'm working on putting together
another `zine for eclecticon in October. Waiting on the art for that
one but would accept more fanfic if it was available....

I think this will answer any and all questions I have been receiving about
the shirts. So far I have about 20 orders, but I have not read all my mail
messages yet. I'll be sending in my order to Ron pretty soon. Remember if
you want a shirt, privately e-mail me at LadysAVamp@a........ Let me know the
quantity, size, your name and e-mail address.

Bast... you read too much Mercedes Lackey. :):):)

Keep it up! (I vote we pick this as our format for the Virtual Season,
in fact. I've got a start on another crossover I meant to post a few months
back, but got sidetracked when I went back to school, and never finished it...

I'll be talking to you, Bast. :)

I don't think that was an *entire* war that was posted (they're all
