Well, we don't hear him say it, but in BMV he asks Nat what are they going
to do about the way they feel about each other - and then when she's with
LaCroix later, LaCroix asks her what Nick said to her, if he said he wanted
to spend the rest of his days with her, etc. and she answers "Beautiful
things, he said beautiful things" so I assum he must have said it to her -
but just off camera.

I'm afraid I have to agree with this sentiment. Let's not get involved in
grudge fights and such, we're above that kind of behavior - we only war when

I don't think he did.

Did he speak Vietnamese in Can't Run, Can't Hide?

Do accents count? He did Irish in For I Have Sinned, and I think in

About the good things in 3rd season, no one's mentioned one of the

About the People poll -- while it's kind of fun, I would advise against
spending a whole lot of time on it. They only promise to publish
profiles of the top 10 on the Web, not in the magazine itself. And
there is something _seriously_ wrong with their software. I have no
actual evidence on this, but I have a sneaking suspicion that they
didn't expect anywhere near the volume of responses that they're getting,
and they used rather small counters, and when the counter size is
exceeded, the count just wraps back to zero. That would explain how
Ger could have 12% one minute, and 0% the next. There's no real way
to test my suspicion (and they may have fixed the problem; I haven't
checked in a few days), but a good experiment would be if everyone
agreed that when one of ours makes it into the top 5, stop submitting
their name.

Subject: Request, Top Ten and a Chance to be Creative

Greetings Fellow Listmembers,

First a request, Can anyone tell me who to email about getting stories
posted on the fiction website? I keep bouncing mail off the address they
have listed there.

Next a Top Ten:

I know we are all anxiously awaiting the new episodes of FK. (To watch, to
discuss, to write fanfic versions of) So what on earth, are we suppose to do
with our free time until then? Well, maybe this will help some of you. This
is my Top-Ten lists of things I am going to do to kill time until we get new
episodes.

10. Start a grass roots campaign to get the only person who can save this
country onto the Presidential ballot (Go Oprah.)

9. Number nine is a tie between: Searching for the true meaning of life
and cleaning out my refrigerator.

8. Continue my letter writing campaign to get that Love Boat Reunion movie
made (Go Capt. Stubing!)

7. Watch the animated series "Gargoyles" ( I know it's a cartoon, but they
can fly and only come out at night and they solve crimes. Okay, you
get the picture.)

6. Search for the real killers (Oh Sorry, that's what O.J. is going to do to
kill time until the new episodes)

5. Go to Star Trek Conventions, and cause endless debates and general chaos
by asking," Who's a better captain Kirk or Picard?"

4. Two words: Finger Paint

3. Write Forever Knight fan fiction until they pry my cold, dead fingers off
my word processor.

2. Read so much Forever Knight Fan fiction until I begin to lose the
capacity to differentiate between reality and fantasy. Hey, who
needs reality when you have Internet Access.

And the #1 Way I'm Going to Kill Time Until We Get New Episodes: Watching
"Be My Valentine, and "Only the Lonely" until I become certifiably Coo Coo
for Cocoa Puffs.

And now here's something you all can do to kill time - Help me with my next
list.
There was this book called, "All I Really Needed to Know I Learned in
Kindergarten". Then the Trekies ran with that and came up with these
T-shirts that say, "All I Really Needed to Know I Learned Watching Star
Trek." Well, I'm sure that together we can come up with our own, "All I
Really Needed to Know I Learned Watching Forever Knight." This is all I've
come up with so far, but I'm sure all you creative people out there can add
more.

All I Really Needed To Know I Learned Watching Forever Knight

web sites because the url requires that "thingy" from above spanish N's and
my computer refuses to type it. (stop laughing at me!!!! I know I'm an

anyone know when USA is going to stop rerunning the same 3 eps? Or are they
going to keep doing it until D-day? Can't wait til Sci-fi starts from the
1st season. As big as Sci-fi seems to be getting, as there isn't crap on
regular t.v. to watch anymore, hopefully FK will get a big enough push from
new viewers to bring it back for another season. I know there are a few
"insiders" on this list, have any of you heard anything? Are they getting
the message and considering another season? wow, I'm gonna get in trouble

There seems to be a question about why Nick does not have many books in his
loft. Here is my theory-It seems that many of us (myself included) have
accumulated a lot of books in our relativly short lives. Imagine how many we
would have after 800 years...at some point after moving around for the
millionth time, you might just get a wee bit tired of carrying around all
those books (and every thing else) and say to youself, I should really only
take that which is most important to me. Nick is a pretty sensible guy. I
think he realized a long time ago he couldn't take everything, so that is
why he only has a few books in his loft.

Now this is a challenge I like! Here's my response to the challenge of
listing the things one can learn from Forever Knight. (Hey, my list of
things you can learn from Highlander is up in the Highlander production
office...)

I tried to come up with something you can learn from each episode. I didn't
get to all the episodes, but here are a few...

No one can always understand why other people do things
Beware your own dark side
Even in the mortal world, perjury is still a crime
Don't leave your newborn 'child' alone for too long
Talk radio attracts weirdos
Go with your instincts - more often than not they're correct
Before taking on a child, consider the consequences
Go to the ballet sometimes
No one is pure
If you can't go in the sun, try a sunbed
Don't call a woman 'honey'
Take time out to read... even if it's a melodramatic vampire novel
Sometimes the line between fantasy and reality blurs... be on your guard
Even when they're trying to kill you, they're still your family
Don't mess around with dangerous equipment - especially equipment that can
   kill you
Forgiveness must often be earned
Don't speak in metaphors - if someone misunderstands you, there could be
   grave consequences
Some drugs should not be taken
If you haven't been in the sun for a while, don't overdo it. Sunburn really
   hurts
Try not to have flashbacks during delusions
No one is above the law - even if it's a different law to the rest of the
   world's
If you don't want someone to know your secrets, don't give them clews as to
   what your secrets are!
Tell the person you love how you feel
Roses are always a nice touch
Skylights are not for crashing through
Be careful what you wish for, you may get it
Material wealth can be a burden
Occasionally, a train is safer than an aeroplane
Don't go on talk shows
Question your surgeon if you don't like what they're about to do
Try not to get shot in the head
Always pay your debts
Knowing Biblical quotes sometimes helps
Sometimes you have to be your own person
No one should think they have the right to decide someone else's fate
Don't go into houses purported to be haunted
Sometimes love and a little restrain conquers all - well, maybe not :)
Don't keep snacks in the basement

- Marina.

All right! We have a new game!

When you're going to have surgery, consult with a second physician.

It's okay to add a little variety to your diet.

Make sure medical waste is properly disposed of.

Some people have an internal compass that just won't let them get lost no
matter if they're flying or driving.

Late night radio is a strange and wonderful thing.

Be careful of what you bargain for, it can come back to haunt you in a
big way.

It's okay to get too caught up in the world of computers if it helps you
solve other problems.

Dogs are not entirely safe to be around.

When creating a false identity, be thorough. Otherwise you'll have some
messy details to deal with later.

Even when the world appears darkest, keep trying. You still have a shot
at seeing the light again.

I never heard about this. BMV has always been one of my all time favorite
episodes, if not my all time favorite. If I show only one episode to a
not-brought-across person, that's the one I show. I feel it displays depth
of characters, direction and intelligence that are wonderful. Sorry if it
caused anyone stress, but I believe it's a true work of art.

Watched Close Call last night. Another great one.

I'd like to try:

make sure you inspect your work that it's done correctly before you leave

be skeptical - people will lie to you from time to time

inconsistencies are a part of life

and mostly.... being on this list is loads of fun. I get more enjoyment out
of what I read here that anything else these days. Squeezing in this break
in the middle of the last minute tax crunch is something I shouldn't be
doing, but I need it to relieve the tension. Thanks everyone!

Well...actually, it is in the American version. :-) The only reason
this really matters is that I have only seen the American version, so I
would have missed this line otherwise. The hypnotizing stuff was only in
the Canadian version, however. :(

Ok, I've read lots of things about the books in Nick's apt. Why doesn't he
have any etc. Well, my theory is he doesn't have any because he sleeps all
day and works all nite. There's no time to read. And someone mentioned
"bathroom habits" since he doesn't use the b.room, he won't be reading in
there either. But I'm sure that saves money on Glade Plug-ins! ha ha!
I have another Q. I keep hearing that vampires don't have sex because they
tend to "bite" (and this is a bad thing?) but then how come they don't just
have sex with other vampires? They could bite each other all they want. And
with their healing powers there wouldn't be any "hickeys" in the morning to
try and cover up before "mom" sees!! ha ha!
ok, ya'll are probably gonna jump on me now. That's o.k. I could use some
mail! Bye!

In FK, it's a 1962 Cadillac. In Nick Night, it's a 1961. Either one will
do just fine :)

Nope, it's to know what to expect if I do get to see 1st season eps on
Sci-Fi, so I won't be too disappointed when certain scenes are cut out,
and so I can remember that those scenes _are_ supposed to have happened.
Is it just that line or Nick's whole flashback of the encounter on the
street that gets cut?

Anybody feel like posting a transcript of that scene? I know there's a
transcript of the whole OtL script on alt.tv.forever-knight, but I'm still
pretty new to the internet, and I couldn't figure out how to skim through
that for that one scene. (I think I could have printed out the whole script,
but I couldn't figure out how to just read through it on the screen. Ack!)
